Final Fantasy (in the normal sense) has gotten old..theyve used it for pretty much every game theyve made so far. I dont know what but i really liked how FFT was played and how well the animations were done.

Not sure how you would implement battles like this.. or parties for that matter... <.< ^^ You could do it pretty much the same way they did multiplayer in FFT..Each person could have a small squad of like 5 people or somthing. I can imagine how it would work out, but its just the fact that i cant actually make a game, lol.

No, I am reffering to like if you party with someone and you both are walking in a dungeon then all of a sudden you are pulled into a battle because your party member ventured into a monster zone or somethin like that.. Since FF games usually randomly pull you in, and if you are in a party you will most likely share the same battle as your party member, wouldnt that be kinda strange? D:

D: I think it could work out if they have a certain range they need to be in for you to go into a battle with them. Like, if they went really far ahead they would do it alone, and then you could come in as backup in the corner of the arena...Or just pass him by...

According to their site, they are still in business.. o_o; There is also a fansite for that game.. o_O As for a turn based strategy game, I think it should be played out like: You can see monsters on the screen and if you choose to go into battle with them then it will shift you into the battle sequence and if your party member is near then they will also be dragged in. They will of course have the option to flee or stay in the battle. I think that would be a really interesting concept for a game like this.. :D

I clicked that link, and from what I can see on the site, despite being 2D the art does look well done and if the audio on the site is a good reflection that is done well too... Seems they have a pretty expansive F2P method thing set up so I'm dling it now to give it a shot. edit: don't bother, waste of time
