It's been stated by devs that if you can see an item or a placeable in the game -- furniture, clutter, etc. -- you can probably craft it, accounting for somewhere in the area of 8,000 craftable items that can go in your player house. Is anyone else really excited about this?

The E3 previews claim there are 8,000 craftable items just to put inside your house already in beta. That just about anything you see in game in anpc store, shop or building you can craft now yourself for your house. To the OP yes I am excited. Even if the combat system does not work out well I am excited about the crafting possibilities.

I don't really care about making a Barbie dream house. i play MMORPGS to kill monsters and such. And if I'm crafting, I'm making items that help me to kill monsters.

I'm not certain flying mounts will be in the game at launch. I know they used it for interview and demonstration purposes, but I've read Brad say that he wasn't going to guarantee flying mounts would be there at launch, though the impression was that if they didn't make launch they'd come soon after.

From what i understand Sigil wanted to have flying mounts before release but they weren't certain if they were going to have enough time. Probably the Sigil/SOE deal has allowed them to have a longer beta and therefore finish things like flying mounts.
