They will eventually have all of middle earth in the game, one expansion at a time....
I'm guessing that we won't be able to visit Minias Tirith for at least 4 years.
But have patience! We will have much to explore untill then! First, we'll have Eriador, then (probably) Rohan and Isenguard, then Erabor, THEN Gondor...*

*Don't quote me on that.

I hope the game can hold my interest for four years.

It''s all about the mouse.

With places being added by expansions, how many places can you visit at launch?

From the Shire to Angmar at the minimum. That would need to include places such as the Old Forest, Barrow-downs, Bree, the Greenway up to Fornost (a.k.a. Deadman's Dike) then into Angmar and hopefully to the gates of Carn Dum.

I'm not sure how far they have created east or south of Bree.

you can still go as far east and south as Moria (at least thats what was said) but you can't go east of the misty mountains. The boundary southwards is about where gate of moria is.

I know it'd be a long time before they come around to it, but it would be interesting if they added the other countries that aren't on Middle-Earth.

Such as Beleriand, Hithlum, Falas and other places from The Silmarillion.

Should be interesting to keep track of what they do with this game. If done proper it could last alot longer than most MMOs as far as content. However if it is like DDO then the shelf life will be short.
