People that are quick to judge a game.

Believe me, I was one of them when this game was in Beta. I said this game will never

fly with the public. I was wrong

Anyways, the posts was suppose to be about this..

Its a shame when I see a New User start posting (with under 20 actually posts) about

a game that is new to the Retail Public and how it sucks.

Well they are either..

A. Using a Alias instead of their real Login Name.

B. Got alot of time on your hands to create another user name on mmorpg.com

C. Just being a total party pooper cuz they coudlnt get into the game after 15 minutes.

D. (add more here)

Real adivce is given by credabilty not by a poster with a few posts on this forum.

Especially on a new Game.

Personally I try not to even react.
I just automtically assume they're doing nothing more than spamming to increase their post count. Take mokster here, who has achieved 'Hard Core' status in 12 posts, implying they were all made in a single day. And (surprise!) the post is.. nothing. At all. Just a quote. No content.

Essentially, that's how I view a lot of the trashing posts by very new posters, especially on very new games.

They seem to follow a pattern of throwing out insults with nothing to show they've actually even looked at a retail box. These alleged spammers attack only aspects that have been mentioned in tag lines, or gleaned from a brief scan of the thread.

I thoroughly enjoyed the beta for AA and am grateful to NCSoft and NetDevil for the opportunity.
That being said I could critique some aspects, but at least I'd do so with evidence and examples -- not the baseless screaming some of the very new spammers do.

So all in all, I think they follow a fairly recognizable pattern, and try to ignore them. When they say something interesting or intelligent I'll engage them in dicussion. And if I'm in a particularly spiteful mood (and they make themselves obvious) they do open themselves up to being reported as spammers

People arnt crappin on a game they couldnt get into, they are crappin on a game they did get into and didnt like -- at least thats what I am seeing

How bout - people trying to speak their minds and either have a vendetta bout the dev company, or the game its self, or really trying to keep people from making a bad decision... For me the game will add to the collection of games that sits on the shelf and collect dust

I'm not saying post count determines credibility of an opinion or review.
But we all know there's a lot of spammers who just write up a trashing post -- without trying a game -- just to up their post count.

If someone posts about issues they have with a game, and it's their first post, it's still credible.
I feel bad for them that their first post has to be a negative one, but so be it.
For me the big factor is -- what are they basing their opinion on?
And honestly, nobody finds
"Don't buy this game!!!
It suxxxorrzz!!!!11one"
credible.

If someone's post and opinion is
"Don't buy this game.
The crafting is too hard to get into, combat gets boring after 2 hrs, too many mission bugs"
that might be credible because at least it shows the person tried the game.
I don't agree with it, but I've talked to some who do -- but only because they played the game.

Too many of these trashing posts exhibit absolutely no knowledge of the game and lead one to conclude they're spam. And often they come from posters with low post counts, and only recently joined, yet high 'rank'.
Circumstancial evidence I admit, but as Thoreau said:
"Some circumstancial evidence is strong, as when we find a fish in milk."

I have the utmost respect for anyone's game review, if they're a Mutant. Otherwise I basically just ignore it cause Biomeks are programmed to say what they say and Humans are known liars.
