Its a shame that so big a percentage of the total players, are gonna go for "the Dark side".. it will make the factions unbalanced.. so there wont be that much WAR, it might just end up being an overrun of one side.. which is quite boring in the end to both factions. So, I personally hope that the factions will be more balanced when the game launches. thanks -Korric-

In my experience, it is usualy the more experienced players that joined the dark side. I find that the newer folks tend to drift towards the good guys, whether they like all the shiny stuff or think good = easier. I remember back when WoW first began, the alliance out numbered the horde 4 to 1 on my server. Hell the dark elves outnumberd the horde on my server by 1.5-2 to 1. I also remember back when DAoC began, it seemed the albs outnumbered both realms of the other realms combined but it was usually Midgard that dominated because they had the vetran mmorpg players. Even this poll can be taken into account. I would guess that most people who voted have played other mmorpg's and are tired of the 'good side'. What you have here is a very small sample of the people that will play the game and I think it cannot reflect on what the majority of players will pick. Of course I am not saying that everyone who plays on the good side will be inexperienced but alot will. My apologies if this general idea was posted earlier but 15 pages is a bit muchto read through. Oh yeah, orc all the way.

Going to go out as a dwarf warrior, run and leave my part to die shave my head and then go and wipe out those that killed my party.... single handed, thus the way of the slayer In reality I'll have to play either High Elf, Dwarf, Human or Dark Elf, More of a good guy myself and I know the numbers are going to be against me, Until the trailor I would have probably gone High Elf, but the Dwarf in the video makes me go Mmmm, I look forward to cracking your orc skull or drinking a pint with you in this game! It would depend on which faction is the overpopulated one, as I wouldn't want to play on that one. My choices would be: Chaos Faction - Orc, or perhaps Chaos Order Faction - Dwarf, or perhaps Empire

I greatly enjoy being a frontlines melee character that uses brute force, and since the Orcs have been said to gain much increased muscle mass and whatnot visually as they become stronger/lvl up I think I will be an Orc. lol I just think they will look the most badass in the end as a melee type character.

One of the good guys. In every MMORPG with healthy pvp all the 3l33t pkaaaayyyy's run off and join the "bad guys" (WoW horde, SWG Empire hey when it was healthy, SB Chaos/oblivion etc) I dont want to spend my time pk'ing a bunch of rp'ers the folks that generaly choose the good guys. So I always choose the good guys cause I have a target rich environment of people that are hella fun to hunt! Which sounds cooler hunting lions or hunting house cats?

The poll seems to be leaning very far towards the Armies of Destruction. In other fantasy MMORPGs, aren't the "good guys" usually more popular? Why do you think the poll favors the dark armies, is it because the people who are following the game already are experienced/fanatical mmorpgers who are more likely to choose the dark armies than say some person who doesn't know about the game until they see it on the shelf?
