Forget it , the game is unplayable

I've been able to connect three times now, once per day.
The game always crashes within five minutes after I login, though - and the lag is severe, so I haven't actually had to chance to do anything... |

I have given up on the game.
I know the developers were very apologetic about it. They said they just have to lounch now , because of the fininciers. But the game is at it ALPHA stage at best. I tried to play for last two days and i couldnt move pass the character selection screen. The ones that were luckier , report severe 10 minute lag. And all in all , people that actually managed to play - say it is very boring , and much like talein the desert "Before this battle is over all the world will know that few...stood against many." - King Leonidas |

I never said it was borring... and i manged to play ;) I was in the closed beta as well... and sure there aint that many features in right now but that wont keep you from doing some great roleplaying. The gms also keep doing in-game events so that will keep people busy as well. The devs just now made some changes and a lot of people have reported that lag is minimal (some even said gone...) |

Rather sad...
I like the idea, and the execution for most part - but the game obviously isn't ready for release yet. I'm getting constant crashes every five minutes or so; and various error messages within the game all the time. The game is so laggy that my FPS ranges from 1 to 5, occasionally lower. There's just no way they'll get it fixed in few days; and if they release it in this state, the reviews are going to tear it apart - not to mention the paying customers. Damn finances - I wish they had got proper funding. |

I liked MMOs better when gamers didn't play them, and just geeks did. |

This game has no combat. While I like to do plenty of other things in my MMOs, the lack of combat is disconcerting to say the least. I like to kill things in MMOs, that's the one thing you really can't do in real life. I just don't understand the point of playing a game that only allows you to do things you normally could if you just got up off your ass...

I can see that i may come off as somewhat of a fanboy in the following post... But please be aware that is not my intention ;) ---- Not having any combat in the game allows the devs and the GMs to have a much greater focus on the storys and the roleplaying then most any other mmo out there. I am not saying that its not posible to both have combat and roleplaying in the same game but considering the size of runestone they had to chooce their focus from the start of development and that is what they did. Imo they keept the game design all the way... the whole design of the game is pretty good imo. Some people seem to think that Seed is a Sim game... its not ;) Its a roleplaying game... a true mmorpg! |

Interesting. They're actually quite fast at fixing the bugs.
The game is still laggy - but nowhere near as badly as during the first day. ...and I was actually able to play for 45 mins before a crash; yesterday it was crashing every five minutes or so. Still several major and tons of minor bugs - but at this rate, it might actually be somewhat playable when they release it. |

Well the better be working 24 hour days then because it is going to be released on Tuesday May 2nd. There is NO way they are even going to be in anything resembling even a beta stage by then. The game had a good premise but the backers forced them to roll it out far, far, far too soon as is typical these days in the independent MMO world. -------------------------------- Looking forward to: Guild Wars 2 Quit: Eden Eternal, Wakfu, DDO, STO, DCUO, Sword 2, Atlantica Online, LOTRO, SWTOR, RIFT, Earthrise, FFXIV, RoM, Allods Online, GA,WAR,CO,V:SoH,POTBS,TR,COH/COV, WOW, DDO,AL, EQ, Eve, L2, AA, Mx0, SWG, SoR, AO, RFO, DAoC, and others. |

Sorry for you, but if you are able to play now, it's because many players stop or wait Tuesday. Don't await a miracle. |
