He doesn't know what he's talking about. Making every race have every class makes the game poo. When the heck can a 2 foot gnome become a berserking maniac that unleashes massive damage upon his foe.

This may be a silly question, BUT, does a gnome get as many HP and STR as another stronger race more suited for that class? (as in, I would not play an ogre for a wizard, unless for RP reasons).... I believe that this will still be the same even if you can choose any class for any race.

Unfortunatly even from a statistical veiwpoint there is very little difference between the races, that gnome could become a very successful berserker in fact. Any minor discrepancy between the stats at creation would soon be recified by items and so forth later and really the few points difference between each race make little to no difference in gameplay terms anyway.

I don't mean for this to sound rude or have my meaning misunderstood, but doesn't anyone ever ask these guys the tough questions? I mean most of these interviews don't really seem like interviews at all, they seem like scripted "sit down and let me tell you about my game" sessions. I don't mean scream at the guy or try to make him angry, but ask some provacative questions in a non-offensive way. Tough stuff about things like art development, there are tons of concerns over the issue of not having enough new armor appearances in the game are they planning on adding any interesting new armor styles or the ability for crafters to add color to armor or why is it that a wood elf can be as good as a barbarian at being a guardian if there are racial differences that matter in the game, stuff like that, that might take him a little off balance. I'm not saying use that question, but something that would get him to give an answer other than his scripted response would be good.
