Ya definately L2. After all these threads on the latest chronicle I actually dug out my collectors ediotion DVD and gonna try it again...started updating almost 6 hours ago though :/ should have down loaded the thing and updated from there /sigh. |

Auto Assault has very good graphics and excellent effects. Your characters looks very sharp and detailed and the wilderness zones with your car are very inspired. In addition, the environments are destructible which makes for some really great effects. It also has great gameply with very deep crafting and PvP. I highly recommend it. Then, as others have already said, EVE has great graphics. And in addition, CCP have recently announced that they are working on revamping the graphics to stay ahead of any possible future competition. |

lol I don't think this discussion includes games still in development or else this discussion will be heavily wieghted to Huxley, Granado Espada, Hero's Journey, Pirates of the Burning Sea, and Ragnarok Online 2. |

Ok lets get this right... Guild Wars has the best background graphics of any game Linage 2 has probaly the best charater graphics in any MMO and not to bad background graphics. EVE has one of the best ship graphics of any game ever made includeing the PS2 and Xbox games but you can not get out of your ship at all in the game so that kinda sucks for some people Star Wars Galaxies is one of the only games with weather graphics so if this makes a game for you i would pick this one, if you dont mind the NGE. Its not that bad of a game with the NGE it just was 100 times better with out it. By the way WOW graphics are just friken ugly to me i donno if u like the cartoon graphics that it has but to me they suck. Over all i think GW is the best choice if you are going for a good game with great graphics. Rateings: GW = 9 L2 = 8.5 EVE = 9 SWG = 7 WOW = 5 PS. I have played all these games in the last 3 months so my rateing are pretty up to date Thats pretty fair except maybe the WoW score. You thump it pretty hard. Personally I would take the WoW graphics over SWG. I loaded SWG up last night and I gotta say the landscape looks like poop. Lineage, SWG, and Guild Wars definetly. WoW and EQ2 dont even match up to these.

Many of those screenshots for Lineage 2 are not at full. You can tell by some textures. When at full, it is amazing!

Forget my original post, Auto Assault wins hands down. Overall world detail is amazing in this game. There is flying debris and all kinds of weather and explosioins and body parts flying. AA gets a 10 in graphics from AA.

I have played Lineage2, SWG, Everquest 2, WoW, CoH, all of 'em........
and this is MY rating, not an official say on the winner.......... WoW?....sux, to cartoony for me, and yes, the characters are ugly. Now, the graphics are good, but not the best. SWG?....great.....for it's time, it's behind on the graphics field now. The water is the games saving grace at the time. Eq2? ....is good, but still lacks the enviroment enhancements other games have. The Characters aren't at all "great" either. CoH?....eh...ok. Lineage 2? ....still the best (in my oppinion ONLY) I played it for a very long time and yes the world to me is smaller than i'd like it to be.....and yes most of the characters look alike, BUT the world itself, and the detail in the characters (which is what this thread is about) is way ahead of it's time, the only game i have seen that beats it, is Morrowind Oblivion, but that's not a mmo. With that said, Lineage 2 isn't my favorite game. If your into pvp or more likely, being Pk'd, then this is YOUR game! The number one thing wrong with the game itself is there's not enough to do at high lvl, but it's llikely that you'll give up on the game before you ever reach HIGH lvl. AND before I go into a Lineage2 thread, i'll stop there....... REMEBER this is my oppinion, no one elses, so thank you for listening.  |
