The game needs more depth rather than alternatives... I think they should make a new class(you know class like boss,lieut,sniper,etc..) ...They need to make a "lookout" class... This class would probably be a minion with an ability to see alot further than other classes see and it would inform its nearby friends to react if it sees a player... The sniper class should maybe also get the ability to see as far as it can possibly shoot(or if it can already, its range should maybe be increased) ... imagine in factories/bases there could be snipers looking out on the ramps (these snipers shouldn't beable move though) so that there could be more tactics of hiding behind boxes and stuff... For the stuff described above, to complement it, add more animations for enemies...like destroying the place, searching the place, etc... Also, for turrets, I just don't feel the like it's a turret that's shooting me...It just feels like another enemy guy, because it's not doing anything different from any other foe you fight...I think they need to reduce it's recharge time(fire rate), increase damage and maybe give some AOE/cone attacks... I think these turrets should be different from regular enemy guys... It should affect/target an area of space rather than targetting a player... Considering there's already cone attacks, summonings, and trip mines, I don't think it would be that hard to convert for them to attack an area of space... Basically, turrets should aim on a target, calculate the target's location, wait about 2 sec. and then fire at the location...This gives time for the player to dodge or try to get away and this would keep players from just standing still and it would be adding more tactics to the game...Certain AVs or strong enemies could maybe have that ability too...However, if the dev are lazy, at the very least, they could add a turret that fires a grenade launcher at a designated space on the ground using the method I described above...This shouldn't be too hard, because there's trip mine already, and there's the animation for a grenade launcher already... Since they have the energy source for base raids...If those alternative ways to stop turrets aren't already in regular missions, they should be it in regular missions too... Those are the stuff can think of for now...If anyone think it's a good idea, by all means try to post it on the COH/COV suggestion forum...'Cause I'm not currently an active subscriber... |

Whereas I wuld see more variation and such as a good thing you have to keep in mind that "more skill needed" things require people to have higher speed connections and will raise issues of "I lagged into a grenade kill." Whereas these things may be really cool in theory I think they raise issues of playability in the devs mind. Just my two cents worth... Does your guild have a website yet? Find out how easy it is to get one. |

i agree that some of thoughs ideas have "playability" issus, it would be cool to have enemys that dont A. run up and hit you. or B. shoot at you and sometimes run away. i would like to see a mob get the jump on me every now and then rather than me alwas pulling the enemy. they do have that a bit in CoV but i never see it in missions where it is really needed and never a enemy strong enof for me to even bother lafing at. |
