OP  5/02/14 12:37:13 AM#1

Level 7 because I have been exploring and learning how things work. The more I learn, the better it all becomes. Ended up getting a few add-ons to make certain things easier, which is nice.

I'm a sorcerer who uses daedric summoning and a bow and it has been very fun. Main focus right now is just getting some skill ups in crafting while exploring. Not in a rush to level up.

Time for bed and work in the morning. I'm happy about my 59.99 purchase.

Hope you continue to enjoy it, but 7 hours played and first day in is what many people would still consider to be the "honeymoon" period.

I am still watching this game carefully from the sidelines to see how well the game is supported before I give it a shot.  My biggest concern is the amount of bugs my friends keep telling me about.

quit sitting around with a thumb up your ass while your friends have fun. all of the few bugs i've encountered since start have been fixed by logging out or reloading the ui. 1 quest was "broken" but likely that was because the mob was on a longer spawn timer than i've been conditioned to wait.

The bugs are not only detailed and documented they are also many; if you have only experienced a few it is an indication relative to game played/explored.

The scary part is one day the world will be run by adults who were never spanked as kids and got trophies just for participating.

They are doing a good job at supporting the game on PC. Lots of communication and patch notes for all of the fixes. I have one character to lvl 16 in the second zone and one to lvl 6 in another Alliance on the starter island. I have only come across one bug that they said they have fixed with the latest patch.

No need to wait on that, jump in if you think you will like the style of game.

I must admit , I was stoked when I first got it , and then the tedium set in quite quickly after that logging in was becoming a chore , I didn't even get to the end of my 30 days  went over to Archeage and haven't gone back since. I might play it again in the future .. but its looking unlikely at the moment.

Glad you are enjoying it though :)

I hope it lasts, but the beta was enough for me to see that the game was headed no where.  The, what, 3 or 4 iterations of duping bugs that have been discovered since launch didn't help the cause of longevity either.  This is highly unacceptable for a game with such a large company with lots of funding behind it...

Regardless of my personal opinions, I hope you continue to enjoy it but I rarely see a game worth $60 these days, let alone an MMO with a subscription.  Then again, I'm playing SWTOR with a friend strictly for the story since I had to pass it up on release.  To each their own.

Rubbish.

I've been playing for 3-8 hours per day since early access and I've only experienced 3 bugs: Two quests (now fixed), and the 'sticky UI' bug (just press 'I' twice to clear). I'll admit that I do sometimes see bots, and have experienced the 'disappearing' harvest node thing (which is a by-product of phasing, and not really classified as a bug).

For whatever reason, it seems that people have experienced fewer bugs on the DC side of things.

"Not in a rush to level up."

The secret of a fun time in any MMO.

"For whatever reason, it seems that people have experienced fewer bugs on the DC side of things."

We are the good guys.

As for bugs, yes there are thousands of them that stop you playing the game, the V10 veterans are always going on about this. One simply cannot level. :D

Truth is the bugs are minor impact and hardly ever seen.

I'd suggest just exploring around and, if you're so inclined, reading the books.  Make sure that you listen to the voiced questgivers.  Another thing that isn't true of most games:  you can talk to NPCs who are not quest givers and they can fill you in on background.  There are also a lot of notes lying around (usually slightly glowing) that give background or hints on quests in areas around them.  Finally, you frequently need to explore new locations to uncover quests and the like; the bread crumbs from main quest lines don't come close to taking you everywhere.

I have a VR5(almost VR6) EP, a lvl 35 AD, and a lvl 25 DC.  That means I've done all the EP zones + Cold Harbor, done the DC veteran rank zones, done the AD zones except the the second half of the fourth zone and the last one, and am on the third DC zone with the lvl 25.  So basically whether regular or VR i've done every zone except one and half AD ones.  Have not run into a single game breaking bug.  I've encountered little annoying bugs that I expect from newer games, but nothing to the extent that a lot of people complain about.

After a month of playing ESO and reading all the bug complaints....I just don't know.  I'm starting to think that they don't have quest hints on and the "broken" quests want them to pick up a scroll or light a candle but since they opted to figure it out themselves they think it's broken.

vet rank 4 here.. You sure u only experienced 3 bugs. What lvl are you atm ? pre 40lvl or 40+. Come back when u 40+ / vr 1 - vr10. And still say game has not many bugs.  Dunno what game u playing or you must be in a special phasing zone in ESO with the least bugs, what is kinda unlikely.

It's fun to start, but what you see right now. Doesn't really change. Every two levels you go looking to find some new gear to replace what you've just outleveled. You wander around to find new quests and skill points and you rinse and repeat...over and over again. If you have a lower threshold for 'boring' you might be fine, but if not, one day you'll just not feel the need to play it, then it'll turn to two days, maybe three, then a week.

You see the thing about bugs in games is that some people will experience them and some won't. I'm not quite sure what's hard for you to believe about that....

Why didn't you comment on the guy above then?

This is how I felt, I really enjoyed it at first and then it just got repetitive and tedious to me.  Only got to level 30. :(  I thoguht i was really going to enjoy this game.

Never mind I see what you are saying now. I should have said that to both of them. I have however never figured out how to multi-quote on here lol.

You see the thing about bugs in games is that some people will experience them and some won't.

I'm not sure what you are trying to point out here, MasterDTox post is worded to plainly imply that he finds it hard to believe or a complete lie that anyone could have played the game and not have experienced the bugs. What was confusing to you about my response that some will experience the bugs and some won't?

The point was that what you wrote could be applied to either post. The post you referred to was claiming that people probably just didn't know how to complete quests. It was dismissive about people that are experiencing a lot of bugs. You apparently decided to attack the person that claimed to be experiencing the bugs instead of the person that claimed they weren't.

I thought you should probably take your own advice:

You see the thing about bugs in games is that some people will experience them and some won't. I'm not quite sure what's hard for you to believe about that....

The bugs are not only detailed and documented they are also many; if you have only experienced a few it is an indication relative to game played/explored.

For whatever reason, it seems that people have experienced fewer bugs on the DC side of things.

vet rank 4 here..

Why don't you read the guys post right above yours. You see the thing about bugs in games is that some people will experience them and some won't. I'm not quite sure what's hard for you to believe about that....

Why didn't you comment on the guy above then?

Actually Coffee edited his post and added that last paragraph so at the time I responded my response made perfect sense and was in no way dismissive or an attack regardless of what you think lol. I would have pointed it out to both of them in my original post in the first place if he had not added the last paragraph after I responded.
