Man I like what im hearing for the head Dev of PS now. He seems to be actually listening to the Community and comming up with some great Idea's himself.

Hell I might just have to reinstall this game once the buff to AV hits.

Any other former PS vets been checking up on the progress lately?

All in all things are sounding very good for the furture of this game.. Add that with the fact that there is nothing to really play right now and Damn.... PS might be making a mini comeback.

Tell me "after" they have implemented these changes...because before that means squat.  SOE is infamous for dangling carrots and in PS they are experts.  FV's should be totally removed from PS to begin with.   Infantry needs more powerful AV and AA at  their disposal.  Until that time I'm not going back to PS.   I really wish SOE would sell the rights to Planetside to so other publisher that will at least make PS a better game and advertise it.  SOE has been promising to advertise PS more over the last year and they still haven't done it.

FV BFRs will never be removed from Planetside, but they've now been nerfed so much you rarely see them.  In fact they nerfed them 2 days before I finally qualified for them, only to discover they are now nearly useless.  Typical!  I have to admit it's improved the game though!  That's right here and now.

I was also glad to see the recent announcement that the Rabbit event will now be much less frequent.  (Hopefully like never).  That has also improved the game.

Bases/towers are for grunts.  Outdoors is for vehicles & aircraft.  That's the way it is and that's the way it should be in my opinion.  Play both and enjoy the variety rather than crying about getting wasted by vehicles.

Planetside was my first MMO, I have huge memories of it but got tired of SOE's management.

When I left the game, there was the vehicles variant (Aurora...) and the capitol system (shields and stuff). Since then there have been, as far as I know, the BFR and the BR buff.

Except the usual buff/nerfs I saw from the beginning, can you tell me if the dev team released new content ? I mean new weapons, new vehicles.

When I stopped a year and a half ago, they were talking about new deployables for engeeneers (mount turret, barriers, special AV mines)...

If there is a lot of new content since I stopped, I will maybe give it a new try.

yea the new dev is the best, he by now is the only dev that thinks that BFR's should be taken out of hte game, we will see when the fodder system comes out, if too many BFRs are on the battle grounds and it disrupts gameplay he even said " we will take them out, we want the community to have fun instead of getting streased out "

I just started playing PS again recently (Markov/Vanu) and you don't see many BFR's.

Besides, I kinda like them because they're big and easy to hit and eventually they go BOOM.

Ok, saw some words mentioning changes over the last 6 months. I left about 8 months ago, seemed rather...boring. I am a night player and experienced the lack of playing during the midnight hours, kind of boring running around putting out small fires here and there. Been doing WOW but, no land holdings like PS, same thing over and over. Nevertheless, $14 may be worth it should something be happening in the worlds.
