Good content takes a lot of time. They won´t hurry with some features to tack them on half-assed.

I think Dust 514 is the foundation for the whole "Walking in Stations/ships" plan, they already have lots of assets and avatar technology, imagine the amount of station interiors and ship interiors they have to design for WIS. And it has to make sense in terms of gameplay too. It takes years to make this happen.

Sooner or later it will come, probably at the time Star Citizen comes out, because it will be the biggest contender.

As soon as they start adding pvp to hold control over these colonies etc then ill consider revisiting eve. But their response to innovation was DUST and that failed hardcore to meet my standards.

sure fanfest from ccp seem to have ideas but ideas isnt 

We going to put that into the game

Esp a corporation that 'promise' by advertising a full blown 3d avatar gaming experiance and then

what I seen the 3d avatar as of late and from official stating its shutdown by ccp .

 

I sorry I wont trust them again ever..

That was because serious content was broken, numerous exploits and numerous fixes were needed (als always), and they wanted to add fluff (I like the Incarna idea tbh) and add a cashshop to it.

I have no doubt Incarna will someday come, but there were other things that needed attention.

Sorry to break the dreams but WiS have been in coding and planning from 2006 official and been unofficial from 2004.
Its now 2013.

and they have shutdown the 3d avatar group according to ccp

3D avatar fluff should be added along, it should not be #1 priority when there's much more stuff currently in the main game that needs to be fixed.

CCP looked at their sub figures and listend to their customers' complaints as there was a rage against Incarna taking too many resources above bugfixing.

now if theyld only add a combat engine, you know, so that we could have combat in eve, instead of orbit at x meters and wait for something to happen.

 

(think sto where you can line up your broadside or frontal assault with rapid fires overloads and high yields and actually kill an unsuspecting target)

don't do the big alliance blobfets fights then.

If you do solo or smaller fights you would know there's more then 'orbit at x meters and listen to the FC shouting commands and press F1 till someone blows up'.

Never ever take anything they say at fanfest serious. It's the single most overhyped event. Nothing has ever materialized from these concepts or trailers.

They have not finished one single expansion, they rather move on to the next and let the old stuff rot unfinished or buggy. If this would be any other type of game, players would be in extreme rage mode. Luckily EvE can get away with almost anything due to it's niche position and almost religious fan following.

EvE veterans ignore it because they know it will never happen.

Wow, I actually suggested this exact feature to them several years ago in a wormhole discussion thread......

This would be awesome!.....but as others have said it would take CCP years to even be close to making it real.
