OMG! A single player Ultima-style game! It's like what was promised for Ultima 9, except without EA around to completely fuck it up! *throws wallet at the screen* TAKE IT! TAKE IT ALL! JUST GIMME!!!! |

This is very interesting. Looking forward to this project. Lord British, whatever you dont, dont forget to add WASD movement. Point and click only like the old Ultima does not cut it anymore |

I'm not entirely sure what it wants to be. Persistent multiplayer cities with houses with rent... Offline single player? It looks bit too messy for my taste...

I'm hyped and I could care less how anyone else feels or how they perceive me for being hyped about this game. EA's latest attempt at capitalizing on UO was the first time I ever decided to pass on an Ultima title. I was ready to write the franchise off completely before this announcement. A developer I have faith in and an IP I grew up with on top of a game that sounds and looks good (To me) equates to me being hyped. If it goes down in flames I will be a bit dissapointed, but I won't be devistated. If it is a success, well then I'd be happier than gallagher at a farmers market!

However none of them should take over a few hours of coding. |

I am a little bit surprised such a rich man needs a kickstarter funding. Very strange. But I am willing to give the idea the benefit of doubt, to Lord British, for old times sake. I am glad he is back in single-ish player RPGs, or so it seems. Yeah, the graphics looks much 2003, but then it's early development state, and hopefully re-opening the door for new RPGs from him in the future. Too bad he can't take back Britannia. I so miss Britannia. Holy Trinity who art in our MMORPGs! Blessed be thy speccs, as in WOW so in all MMOs! Our daily loot grant us, and forgive us our noobness, as we forgive the noobs! And do not lead us to disconnects, But deliver us from mediocrity, For thine is the specialization and the teamwork and the endgame, Until cancellation, Amen! |

I thought it looked weak as there is nothing there that hasnt already been done better in terms of RPG. When PS4 RPGs start to hit te shroud will be looking out of date unless they are headed to web browser game market, which they may be.

i,m not much into kickstarter stuff but i put in $15 for legends of dawn on steam greenlight.i was just thinking the other day that i,m sick of playing mmo's and i need ome really new good solo games to play..and we get 2 in the space of a day..not only that Obsidian have got funding for their game awhile ago..thins are looking up for the rpg genre..i suppose in the end the big companies around today just churn out the same shit..hope these games can deliver.

'Lord British' - What an arse. It's not what kickstarter should be about, either.

Lord british is an enigma to me. because he comes across to me simultaneously as someone i greatly admire for his imagination and mind, but also as, well sort of a self aggrandizing jerk. I am reminded of a friend that said about bill maher, his comedy is great but boy, he has such a punchable face.
I absolutely loved the ultima games and consider them along with the final fantasies to be the seminal games of my youth. but does lord british really know best as he claims? I know in the end i'll probably chip in a few bucks on the kickstarter to help find out...
itch RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid. Currently Playing EVE, POTBS Recommendation of a game you probably haven't tried: POTBS, Atlantica, L2 |

Why does this multi millionaire who lives in a castle and could buy a trip to space still need crowdfunding to make a game? And I see everyone forgot Tabula Rasa existed because he created that game and it was hot garbage incarnate. I do not have faith in this man to create a good game this far past his "prime". |
