Aeria game’s upcoming Korean-imported MMORPG, Scarlet Blade is getting an extra “M” for “Mature” from the ESRB (MMMORPG? Time to buy a new website!) There’s an extremely good reason for this though: the main characters are all scantily-clad anime girls with boobs of varying degrees of bounciness, more to the point, there’s plenty of cartoon nipples to be seen in the form of in-game nudity. It’s nothing new to the game industry at this point with all sorts of big budget games, including the critically acclaimed Heavy Rain showing the goods off. Then there’s the Dead or Alive series with controllable breast bouncing. And it’s not like Elf chicks aren’t running around half-naked in just about every fantasy game out there, so it was only a matter of time before we saw something like this try to make the jump to F2P MMO scene.

I just don't remember Funcom/AoC getting so much hate for doing the same thing.

They got hate for most the other parts of the game though.

There isn't "that" much nudity in AoC. I played it for about 5 months and hardly ever noticed any -  might be because I didn't look hard enough - but I am not against nudity in games as long as it isn't their only selling point (example above)

Not sure how it is now but back on release that is all you saw people running around Tortage nude. And it was a selling point they marketed too.

But that's because people wanted to run nude because apparently for them it was "cool' and "edgy.  Here, you have situation similar to TERA, where you can't really not be half-naked because all the art direction is focused on providing you with armor that's more than skimpy.

In tera you can play lots of races that don't have this " issue " for people. Human males look like your classic mmo characters pretty much.  Weird how those same people always seem to be the ones who rolled a famale castanic..but ...just to make a point right ?

You can also buy snow suits if the thought of seeing skin makes you feel like you're going some place warm when you die.

But honestly if what they're wearing is really a game breaking issue for someone...they're only posting here to stir the pot so to speak.

lol.  Tits of Conan is indeed graphically interesting - and fun.  Where animé, for me, just crosses the decency line a smidgen is how young the characters are made to look. It's not about the nudity - bring that on 100% - just don't ask me to look, facially, like a wide-eyed 8 year old with my 20-year-old-looking breasts on display.  I'm by no means a prude but I would no more play this sort of game than I would post to a message board renowned for grooming children.

It has been since Lineage II actually.  I'll never forget running into a tree and then a pack of mobs while looking back, watching my female dark elf running.  I was a bit younger when that game was in beta.  That's no excuse though, since I was still in my mid twenties at that point.  ;-)
