Originally posted by sxvs You've noticed that "2" in "Guild Wars 2"? Do you know where a signet come from? In the first Guild Wars skills were originaly power rings which explained why players could only have 8 skills. A signet was an engraving on those rings. Those engravings are present in the doors of the bloodstone caves which were built by the human gods. The ring system was dropped before release. And of course humans are aliens to tyria brought there by the human gods, a bunch of the skills you see in GW2 also exist in GW1, tons of the name exotic and ascended items are named after characters of GW1, etc. The lore is there, but playing the game for a single weekend won't allow you to discover the lore of a series that is almost 8 years old.

Originally posted by sxvs No offense but you literally described pretty much every single MMO out there. What did you expect? Skills which are so advanced you have no idea what to do with them? (this doesnt happen in MMOs). Also you are complaining that their classes are similar to other classes in other games? What did you expect warriors to do? Shoot rainbows out of their backside? |

The OP started his flame war, got what he wanted and left. You can put this one to bed now.

Originally posted by sxvs I have one word for you; Traits. You didn't get far enough to see them and may be Anet was silly to think that you'd need to understand how the game works before you get into traiting but hey, if you wanted depth, that's where you would get it. Also Runes and Sigils. They also augment your playstyle with the different attributes you can get within them. This is not a game. |

OP forgot there is one game that has skill that all descriptions have a back story and "meaning". Age of Wushu since all skills are based off martial arts moves all in which were named for specific things.. your welcome:)

Originally posted by sxvs Many skills (as have been pointed out by others) have been neamed from GW1 and the names are part of the lore of Tyria - Chaos Storm, Dolyak Signet, Healing Signet, Healing Spring, etc.
See above. Understand the lore - understand the game.
How can you make a warrior different? Explain please. I see people complaining but not giving any constructive ideas as to what they would different.
You started a thread where you could have given constructive criticism but all you did was whine. Not even going to go there. |

GW2 issue is simple they nerffed every spec and every class, everyone is shit all that is viable is dps and its not even that effective. Bad class dev.s

Originally posted by Jetrpg LOL - do you even play the game? You CAN'T just DPS, especially in ORR. If you did you would be dead so fast. Not even talking about Southsun Cove, where you have to have survivability or you are instantly dead.
People who say this do not or have not played the game at all. They didn't nerf every class - you just want OP shit so you can one hit mobs and then complain about that. This game is far from balanced but it better than most out there. |

True story. PvE gets boring really fast, played also every class, but no one hooked me. WvW may be good, but when the zerg comes I have like 3 fps , so its unplayable for me. And in the end its always the same keep grind. They made the wrong desitions when creating the game. But the codes and artists made a very good job. Step in the arena and break the wall down |

In my opinion, the biggest drawback of the game is the skill system. I loved the skills in Guild Wars 1. Just standing in the city wondering about what skills should I put on my quickbar was really entertaining. And testing them later was even better.
But now we have this boring skill system which, in my opinion, was designed to keep the players away from finding a build of skills which can defeat any other player without giving them a chance. So now we have these beautiful shackles to play with, totally spoiling the concept of the original game.
I know it's difficult to balance a game in PVP, however, the fun I had creating my builds is now long gone
