i'm looking at tigerdirect intel kits not sure which of these is the best for the money and preformance http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=4910&name=Intel-Core-i5-Barebone-PC&Nav=|c:333|lp:1000:hp:0|&Sort=3&Recs=30 and i need some help filling in the blanks what these kits are missing for a high end gaming rig i had in mind a NZXT mid tower case but a full tower might be better. thinking about liquid cooling instead of fans http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7526545&CatId=1509 or another real nice looking case with enough usb ports and stuff to cover what i need and my fav colors are black, white, blue :-P whats a good solid state drive thats reasonably priced that might not come in those kits ? i currently have $500 saved atm and going for 1k total and i might have a little extra to spend on extra parts later on. i wanted to avoid ordering parts from several sites.

Combo deals with a bunch of different components like that tend to be a way to get people to take older and/or garbage hardware off their hands. Having to buy a couple of parts that you're going to toss out anyway and overpay for others can easily overwhelm the combo discount.

You can get a far superior Radeon HD 7950 for essentially the same price. 3) I'd get a higher quality power supply than that. At a lower wattage, it will be about the same price, even. Corsair's CX V2 series is fine for entry level systems, but not what you want on a $1000 budget. |
