I played at launch and leveled a Jedi to 50 then quit. I recently tried to get back into it with my fiance so we both rolled jedis but when we entered our first class mission instance we went into different instances. Then I remembered to check that box in the social settings to let party members into your class mission instance. When we both finished the mission she didn't get credit because she was in this new spectator mode. So can two people in a group not complete a class mission together? From my understanding right now either we would both have to do the mission by ourselves or do it together but do it twice. What happened to doing a mission together and being able to roll for the response and see eachother in the dialogue? Do I have to be a paying subscriber to do that or did Bioware think playing together in an MMO should be removed from the game?

Always been this way, story missions must be done twice if you are the same class. You may enter and help each other but the choices are only available to the owner.

Both of you are the same class means you have to do it twice to get credit, I think it has always been like that. You can enter the mission when you tick that social option but you don't get the credit. If you are two different classes then it works fine.

Originally posted by JTVevox for the personal class stories they didnt want other people to effect your story. all other quests you can do to together and both recieve credit but personal class stories have always been this way because they are suppose to be personal to you, about your character and the choices he/she makes. as others have said you can help each other, but would have to do it twice. |

As the others said, it's always been this way, OP. I was in the beta test, and I recall that originally you couldn't even see another player's cinematics (you'd just see a buble with an elipsis over his/her head), but I don't ever remember being able to get credit for going into another player of the same class's instance. Usually, my friends and I split up if we're the same class and then just do the world quests together.

Originally posted by JTVevox In your preferences - Social you have to allow option to allow access to the same class story. Whoever enter instance first (owner) will be the person who will get quest first. Then just repeat. You can't roll on conversation as it is personal story and all choices have to be yours. But you can play together and see your convos, just have to do it twice. I would recommned to play DS and LS so you see the difference in story.
