This not a shooter style MMO so it can't take fire falls place, in that regard, as they are different styles altogether. I will say that fire fall is meh, but Wild Star could be fun, who knows.

The hype certainly is. I have reached the conculsion that no MMO is worth playing at launch, give it a year and you will have something thats fleshed out into a MMO.

Action based. No targeting at all. Dodging with a much more advanced telagraph system. Unlike GW2 they have the holly trinity. IMO thats a step up.

 

I'm afraid that's not true. There is tab-targeting in the game, although they recently introduced a "free-form" targeting as well.

He, he, ... you wanted to say it looks like wow? :-) It does, at least to me, cartoony, vivid colors, ... but have no problem with that, wow style rocks as rocks gw2 realistic style.

Anyway ... as long as they are not pvp only and as long there is tab targeting ... I will for sure try.

I'm not too bothered by the artsyle.  As long as there's some conflict or reasons lorewise I can, 'buy', into then that'll keep me playing for longer then a couple of days. If it's all cutesy, slapstick, then that'll get tiresome quickly.

The path thing could be a double edged sword.  It's great that people can actually feel useful potentially in a group by being able to access areas or missions a solo player couldn't, it could mean being reliant on others and working together to complete this stuff, which I've always enjoyed about MMOs.

Or it could mean players get cockblocked progression wise because an explorer/solider/whatever isn't about at the time and they can't complete something.  Or more likely, certain classes will be underpowered/boring to play so players won't bother rolling them and you'll end up top heavy in certain classes and missing out on doing half the content.

That's assuming everything synergises as well, (crafting, combat, story, world, etc, etc).  Time will tell I suppose.

So much to comment on woudl take to long so i'll keep it somewhat  short.

Couple really bad things i don't like.Scaling [unrealistic] and telephones [cheesy,lazy].Seriously we are going to be using some ancient weapons and yet we have telephones,cmon now.

Some new ideas i did not know about that sound great like the Warplots and being able to join a battle midway.

All the talk about play the way you want is really lame,you will NEVER play the way you want,i hate that cheap sounding PR talk.I would expect Anet to say something like that.

Still no word on weather mobs have versatility in their telegraphs or just one move.I would have preffered a trigger or a signal than coloring the ground.It makes it look a little kiddish like that,realistically a mob is not going to color the ground for you,but i can live with ,accept it.

Again i can live with it,seems most devs can't think realistically nor for themselves but i would like to see for once since FFXI,a game that does not give xp for questing nor for exploration.The ONLY reason you should get xp for exploring is if you have a Cartographer skill.You become a more skilled warrior by using your skills,not by wandering into a new grid or running errands.

Still i see a lot of good things in this game and a FUN factor which is important,.There are just a lot of smallish pet peeves ,like i hate hearing about Raiding and i hope it does not become a focal point and ruin everything else the game is gunning for.This is what happened to Wow all you hear about is this Raid or that Raid,L33t talk,youir a noob because you are not in Raids.This and that are the best class to take in a Raid,you can't join my Raid unless you have certain gear,chat is spammed  by players asking what is the best end game raiding class ect ect,ruins a game and community badly.
