The godslayer expansion is only worth getting after 80, correct? Or is there anything for lower level chars as well?

Turan is for level 50-55. The  Godslayer expansion has 2 parts. The Gateway to Khitai is for level 20-40 which is for peeps leaving Tortage and open to FtP. Khitai proper is separated from the Gateway by a great wall that looks like the Great Wall of China and is for level 80's and you have to be subbed to enter, it is not available to FtP accounts. So the expansion is only worth buying before 80 if you want to see the Gateway content and are willing to sub after reaching 80 to enter Khitai proper. If you have no intention of subbing I would pass on the expansion. If you are currently subbed then pick up Godslayer because the Gateway is a pretty big playfield and looks different than any other leveling area.

That´s cool. Played back in 2009 and returned recently since I kinda missed the game. If the Gateway to Khitai is F2P,  I´ll be able to check it out earlier.

Just ordered the Godslayer Expansion from Amazon because there are some cool packs and items included. Can´t wait :D

I wonder if the upcoming single server tech and new Schwarzenegger Conan movie in the works will give a little push to the game again. It seems very good now in version 4.0

The combat system is still incredible

Sorry to burst your bubble OP but Age of Conan is far from every being a good game. The game is so ridden with hackers/cheaters/homebrewers its a fucking joke man.

Okay I stand corrected then. I thought I only had access to Gateway after purchasing the Godslayer expansion, but that was like 2 years ago so I am a little fuzzy on the details :)

Well I look most forward to get the completely new crafting/tradeskill system.. It will turn the economy upside down and hopefully give more incetives for the grred part of the MMO crown to keep churning away gathering and making shit that I can buy :D

I really think that AoC could wake up again if they got those improvements in place.

Last thing for wishlist would be that they gave out a new starter area.
