They could've made a bad investment or bought out a company with debts, or perhaps they're just ran by a corrupt board of directors bleeding it dry.

WIth the money they're raking in I also find it hard to believe losses are due to operating costs / marketing alone. They should be smart enough to make those calculations right.

Read for yourself. As expected a nice portion of box sales were held over from the 3rd qt. Even with that it looks like they lost quite a bit. Stock went down another 5% today too.

In the red was only NC Soft korea. If you add it's subsidiaries (like ANet with gW2). they are actually far on +.

Stocks a funny thing, it's not a measurment for company performance but a percieved value which can be VERY misleading.

I removed my comment because I noticed that after the fact.

However, the figures you and MASSIVELY are talking about are the "Parent" figures, which I can only assume are NCSoft itself. When you look at the whole figures at the very beggining you will see that net income be higher qoq and yoy inmensely.

$150M would be around 5 million boxes ($30 per box).

They saw the parent company graphs, which is indeed in red. But those don't take in to account GW2.

I don't understand how though, they must be really poor with money management, they have Blade and Soul, Lineage and Aion all in Korea, I don't know about Lineage but I know Aion and Blade and Soul are sub based there and each has hundreds of thousands of players, Lineage also has a tonne of players... what are they doing wrong to end up in the red in Korea?
