For a game with such a huge following and history, and due to release this year with closed beta possibly weeks away they seem to be keeping things close to home, the main website only went live few months ago and there has been no real hard info released aprat from what we gleen from random interviews ? Guess my question is do you think they are doing this on purpose to avoid some of the problems this caused with say SWTOR and GW2 not living up to the hype ?

Yeah they've developed it in secret for 5 years, compare and contrast with gw2 and swtor.

I think CCP is doing that quite well with World of Darkness Online and so is SOE with EverQuestNext - though we should be hearing much more about those this year.

There is plenty of hype for ESO. It's just not reflected in MMORPG.com's hype list. |

Originally posted by Nitth Ah, I can see you aren't looking forward to playing ESO. What game company doesn't try to portray their game in the best possible light? Seriously? |
