They are pulling out of the west. They closed pretty much all studios in the west the last years! Paragon Studios was the last of them. ArenaNet is the last studio left here in the west for NCSoft.

Trion is going to distribute it in the US , it would not matter if its NCsoft EA or Trion for that matter they do not release content the devs do with archeage. Trion is by far not all that successful with their only release so far bleeding subs since day 1 of release and an expansion that still cant fill up the servers or create new ones. This is a good move for Trion though if they want to stay in business since rift is far from a smash hit. They get a cut of profit now made by archeage or at least a contract payment for service so its a smart move. But bashing other companies here for being publishers shows nothing but stupidity seriously.

And it is not some made up nonsense but a fact that no other company churns out content and supports its game with a passion like Trion does. Now if they will repeat this pattern with Defiance is yet to be seen but for now they have proved that they are in here for a long haul and have avery solid reputation. A good publisher for a MMOS is as important as a good dev team to make it a success. And by the way if Trion wasn't making profit like you somehow claim, they wouldn't be goign ahead with Defiance and certainly wouldn't release a huge expansion for Rift. But hey it is easier to make up stuff to make your point i guess. So no gpotato, gtomato or other f2p company that sells skill resets for $50. Still cant believe this is true :D Its like they let us chose eu/us publishers, i doubt many people would say no to Trion publishing Archeage (or any other game for that matter), as long as they stay ... well, current Trion :p really really fantastic news for all of us who were following archeage and quite frankly, if i were to chose which company gets to publish archeage, id give my vote to trion in a heartbeat :)
