*Off topic* I didn't want to create a new thread when I can hoefully get an answer here: Are there plans to have a PVE server in Age of Wushu? |

The game is good, nothing great about it, but it does have some nice things about it. The main point of the game is PVP, not PVE. PVE combat reminds me of pre NGE SWG, which is not good.
There are a couple of classes that you are able to grasp right away. The scholars with their spin attack and the royal guards with their little hook thing.
The main problem is twofold. One, you cannot bind the mouse any other way so if you have a mouse with a bunch of buttons (like most gamers do) then you are stuck. Your block button is by default bound to your right click button which is also the default turn for left and right. This is probably the worst thing they could have done. It makes the transition from combat to moving nin combat all but impossible to play. You have to rebind your block button to a key on your key board. Have to. Impossible to PVP without doing so.
The second thing is the lag. Their is lots and lots of lag. It kills PVP. You cannot PVP in this game with lag. Will lose every time.
Just about every player has both of those problems. |

Originally posted by Biskop The reason I asked is that I stepped about 100 yards out of town, after 30 minutes of gameplay, and was ganked. I guess I will move on to something else then. I wanted to try the game for the crafting, but I hate forced PvP. |

First time that I tried the game, I got so mad at the combat that I uninstalled it after a couple of hours. Few days later I gave it another try after reading others saying it took some time to get used to, and must say that after playing about 6 hours now, it is actually growing on me a lot. I still find there's not enough documentation on how it all works, but there's definitely a lot of depth to the combat, once you get past the "feels clunky" stage. It's just different I guess. Pretty dramatic change though, coming from the very dynamic GW2 combat. |

I use a naga. I have 1-6 bound on the side. You can't bind the middle mouse will though.
You can rebind your block anywhere you want. I thought the same at first, until I tried ;) DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

@ Bigsmiff
Well it's an open PvP game with no safe zones at all, so ofc there's some ganking. However, due to the harsh consequences for random murder and the numerous ways to PvP legitimately, pointless noob ganking is pretty rare - most people don't think it's worth the price. Still, if you hate non-consensual/open PvP this is not the game for you. |

I think the combat is ok as it fits the style of this MMO. I will dabble in this semi sandbox MMO until snail games release their flagship sandbox MMO later this year. I've been playing on the Russian server for a week and it's not to bad. The combat takes a bit of getting used to but it doesn't suck. Coolermaster Cosmos II Case |
