If you dont want to waste time, spend money on teleports, effort on speed upgrades or do the quest(line) that offers fast transportation.

Yes, i agree combat is the most important. If combat is not fun, i wouldn't bother with a MMO.
Now the key question is what makes combat fun.
To me, it is about a) a diverse set of abilities, b) interesting choices & syneries, and c) action.
It is not interesting to have 15 kinds of damage, when they are doing the same thing (taking off life). It is not interesting to have 15 kind of stat to allocate, when they just increase either damage or HP. It is more interesting to choose between the ability to teleport, and put up a shield, or the ability to damage more vs to defend more.
It is interesting to be able to on the fly, decide whether to use the CD now or save it for later. It is interesting to decide if i should rush in and use my powerful AOE, or snipe at a safe distance. It is interesting to decide if i should use the doorway as as chokepoint, or lure the mobs out to a killing field.
I also want the variety to fight a large number of weaker mobs, or a few very strong one, and any combination. The enemies should also have a wide variety of abilities, so i need to reformulate my strategy at any time.
