Bought the game pre-order, loved it but the timing wasn't great, GW2 stole my soul. The B2P announcement came just as I was getting burnt out on GW2, this time perfect timing, at least for me. I love it and will be throwing money at DLC and maybe the occasional outfit. Really pleased this is working out for them, I hope it's sustainable, really is a great game. ![]() |

Xfire doesn't show anything remotely similar in the increase for number of players lol... This would be why people don't use Xfire :P
Figured I'd add since the B2P conversion I'm part of that 400% as well :P |

This is expected, but makes me wonder how low their numbers were if returning players and 70K new copies could increase player activity this much.

Bought the game when it went b2p and i love it. Sure combat is not as smooth as in gw2, far from it, but this game has such good storylines, quests and atmosphere it is unbelievable. People are friendly, and they actually talk to eachother.

Purchased this too, and I cannot be happier. I have grown tired of questing over the years, but this is such a refreshing way to quest and storylines are very interesting. I am on the Arcadia server and looking for a Cabal. I do rp a little but not all the time. |

What i love is games that adopted F2P or B2P after being P2P always reports great increase because they did their models right. I find it funny we havnt seen these kind of numbers with Swtors switch simply due to their F2P being really bad.

I played through beta, and maybe a free trial I got in the email. I think there are at least as many people in the first zone as there were in the free trial. I don't think there are as many people now that you can't get those Mayans to spawn, but I see people in every corner of the map when I'm running around. Even when I was running around dead I saw a couple people. Join the League For Gamers. |

I liked MMOs better when gamers didn't play them, and just geeks did. |

400% means very little for a game that was on life support. Sure 70K sales is good, but SWTOR has sold millions now and was called a flop, and GW2 and WoW Panda sold millions of copies.
Funny thing about FUncom is that they really messed up on Conan, which is a shame as Arnie is going to reprise the ham roll soon, but the mmo is very much dead for them.

Well atleast now TSW is a moderate success and not an utter flop like it was with P2P model. Good for them, sadly these profits are not enough for FC to save jobs and regardless of bumps in sale numbers lot of people are going to lose their livelihood. I hate it when people lose their bread and butter. ;( |

The sales increase is great for them. But it all comes down to how much money they spend in the store and how many stick around past a month.
