tl;dr: We are working on a fix (a collection of fixes, really) for culling and character loading issues. The fixes require significant changes to a number of game systems and thus require time to implement. We’re not yet ready to discuss a release date for the current set of fixes, but we’re working hard to improve the experience as quickly as we can.
Just in case you were curious about it, the thread goes on in great length about it. It sounds like you were frustrated with it, so at the very least, here is "a word on it." SWTOR is the greatest mmo ever! |

Originally posted by Dragonantis This slightly irritates me, the next level of what? The changes were so minute they are barely worth a mention, yet thay are applauded. It did away with the trinity with no workable alternative. It got rid of quest hubs but hearts are exactly the same thing with a different name and one less click of the mouse. It copy pasted dynamic events from other games, and they are not dynamic, they are static and dull, three different states repeated ad nauseum. currently playing: DDO, AOC, WoT, P101 |

How can you be upset about GW2? It released. It was what is said it was going be. The War Z was THE greatest disaster of 2012 hands down.

Originally posted by Dragonantis I am now a casual gamer, with alot less time to play games in general. I never got hyped up for GW2 at all. So in your eyes it should be a perfect game for me. I flat out hated it. It was without a doubt the worst MMO I ve played in years. Free or not after initial release, I uninstalled it faster then any game I ve had, because fundamentaly the game sucks to me, and nothing they add will help with that. |

Originally posted by Saur0n Disaster and disappointment are two different things. I don't think very many people were amped about War Z. (It didn't even really come on my radar until after the debacle). We are talking about games for which there were high hopes for that didn't deliver.

Originally posted by colddog04 appreciate the link, and read the response. Hate to say it, but it just concretes my vote for biggest disappointment. That response was far and away 'not good enough'. They knew the issue was going to happen, at the very least, take the ability away from the thief class to prevent the problem in WvWvW. Also, this post is a month old, and still nothing official on it. but again, thank you for the info, I will not say ANet haven't said a word on it any longer, but they stil have yet to address the problem. |

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus Have to agree. I expected to hate GW2 and am still playing it. SWTOR was a disappointment but I enjoyed the 3 months that I played - and it was still better than mmos like AOC, WH and Aion. TSW I tried but could not get into it. I especially agree with the last statement. I too am burned out but I realize that the mmo that I am waiting for will never come to past. I kept hoping that the newest mmo would be the next WOW where I could spend my time for the next 7 years as I did with Azeroth. Not going to happen. There are two choices as I see it. The first is take each new mmo for what it is. Enjoy the good parts and put up with the bad. The second choice is quit the genre. Actually there is a third option (popular on this site) - live your life in the forums and troll every new game. |

City of Heroes going. Bad decision to close it down since there are reports of profit. SWTOR. Lots of different reasons. I don't play anymore. WoW, mostly happy about this but disappointed that MoP enforces Chinese communist thinking on the player because they are addicted and will just accept it. Bad move Blizzard, get your next expansion out make it capitalist democracy friendly asap to even that balance. The expansion was quite playable, toony Disney graphics but not too immature minded, more at the family friendly level so adults could still play and not feel like it's club penguin. Not that I play that either. I still play WoW but not at renewale sub level, WoW is being watched cautiously for what they will push on the gamer next.

The War Z had insanely high hopes. Anet wasn't forced to suspend a trademark over GW2...which is doing fine.

In my opinion GW2 was the worst game made of the year and Diablo 3 was the biggest dissapointment. Diablo 3 got so freaking boring after 1000 hours played and they aren't adding content fast enough to the game. Diablo 3 was also WoWified becoming a grossly over simplizied dungeon crawler. The RMAH was also a dumb idea...prices for everything are in the billions of gold and maxed out at 250.00 per item because of the greed. GW2 I just hated litterally everything about it. The graphics wern't that great and yet took up a lot of resources on my computer (and I have a beast as hell computer). The downed state was moronic in my opinion, especially in PvP (wrecking somone from 100-0 without taking hardly any damage but then them being able to auto attack you in the downed state for a ton of your life is dumb). Not having any healers/tanks traditionally made everything sporadic and a cluster F. The quests were boring and not innovative and dynamic events weren't dynamic they were litterally exactly like PQ's in other games that just reset after completion. WvW was kind of fun...for ranged but was honestly just a big zerg w/o any real rewards. One plus was that a lot of the end game armor skins looked pretty cool in GW2. Really my biggest gripes are the lack of trinity, the combat system, and that it was insanely boring. Spiritsever - AR/Ele - The Secret World Ashmaker - Ranger < Prophets > - Age of Conan - #1 in Kills Sweety - Sorceress < Infinite Darkeness > - SWTOR - 2.6K PvP Rating ??? - Pilot - ??? - EVE Symir - Swordmaster - Warhammer - RR100 Dreadnaught - Rogue - Rift |

For the sake of fairness "biggest disappointment of the last 2 years", the honor goes to SW:TOR. I figured at very worst it would be "WoW in Space". Unfortunately it didn't even live up to that.

Originally posted by Scarfe Yeah Diablo 3 was my biggest dissapointment even though its not on there I picked SWTOR. There were some games on there (TSW) where my expectations were that it would be garbage so I was certaianly not dissapointed to find out those games were indeed garbage. |
