A few years from now, the director of Titan will state that despite years of development, the game just didnt feel right, and that they are scrapping it. :) Flame on! :) |

A huge cash cow that people will complain is ruining the genre, endlessly.

I suspect it will be non-fantasy.. so either zombie or sci-fi is my main pick.. I doubt it will be super hero.. However, in any case I think Blizzard is a little worried.. I don't see Titan being the big hit that many want to believe.. If Blizzard does the same thing as Trion, Bioware and othes have done, Titan will fail too.. Titan better be fairly large in size, or it will be a mad rush to level cap and cancel.. Time will tell.. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything yet since Titan was let out of the bag years ago.

The information that people have been able to get so far indicates Titan is going to be a social/casual MMO, possibly browser based. Supposedly people have seen some art assets which includes present day stuff as well as some futuristic looking things. Titan will more than likely have product placement in it, just like movies do these days. Blizzard was at one point hiring for a position to act as a liaison between the game devs and companies looking to market stuff in their next gen MMO.
Social/Casual/Mobile games have the biggest player base, with hundreds of millions of people playing them. MMO players are easy to monetize, and spend more money on gaming than any other gaming demographic. The holy grail for gaming coprporations is to have a casual/social/mobile MMO that potentially appeals to tens of millions of players, with all sorts of monetization schemes plus ad revenue in place to reap as much profit as possible. Whether this will work for Blizzard or not remains to be seen. |

Post apocalypse most likely since it's going to be a brand new IP and they have fantasy and sci-fi covered so no Universe of Starcraft and sure it could have some horror elements but I think that it will be mostly a post apocalyptic themed game.

I hope it has three factions, lot's of world PvP and territory control, and NO instanced PvP.

Probably going to be a huge lobby where you que up for instances dungeons, raid, pvp and duo quests with no open world and a RMAH. Maybe sci fi themed.

New / biggest rumor now (just yesterday I think) is that Titan actually IS a familiar IP. Which means they probably changed it to Starcraft MMO in the past year or two. Cross platform too - makes sense to me. In before- "That means it will be even more dumbed down for consoles." I always LOL at those statements, so please - continue! MMO History: |

Probably something just as unoriginal as WoW. Blizzard is not capable of making interesting innovative games. In all the years of WoW's development its never done anything new. |

This is only my opinion, and I don't really have a lot to back it up, but here's how I think Titan is going to happen.

Hopefully it will be something that the constant haters won't like. I don't think I could live another day without reading how Blizzard is catering to the kiddies and is ruining the genre...
Personally, I think it will be a huge hit, just like every game they release. (Including D3!!) |

Diablo 3 may have had a lot of sales, but it wasn't on its own merit. People bought it because they loved the first two games (or maybe just the second one). If you recall, it hasn't had the best reception.

Originally posted by BadSpock Actually the rumur is that it is a new IP, but a spinoff of an IP already made. Might not even have to be an IP owned by blizzard. My guess it's going to be like Warhammer 40k and Warhammer fantasy IP's. Both are Warhammer IPs, but both areunique IPs as well and have nothing to do with each other. |
