This happend to my account when it was updated to the Goddess Patch, and just within 48 hours after going Free 2 Play. My account was fine until after this period, and NCsoft failed to restore the account or items because they were too Lazy.

Lineage 2, as a game is not worth playing due to this reason If your account for any reason beyond your own actually gets compromised in any way do not expect NcSoft to do anything about it.

The most they have done to me is give me the wrong itemset on my character, but failed to return any adena or lost items on the account.

The only game I have played recently from this company is GW2, but I do believe Arena Net made it, and let me just say their security on this game is also bad it requires no Secondary Passwords, No Authinitication like Blizzard or anything.

And to griple about the cash shop, yes NcSoft has given unfair advntages to those who actually spend money in Lineage 2, such as mounts, and Free teleporation, and in Aion for that matter they charge for recustomization instead of including a monthly subscription that includes plastic surgery tickets for FREE on the account while it is paid up goes beyond me why anyone would even spend a dime on a NcSoft game like Lineage 2, or Aion for that matter.

Sorry for your bad experience. Maybe its time to put this game to rest. I know its not easy  but... 

At some point of its history game had best pvp ever IMO. Now the game looks  dated with click to move controls. But it still in my top 3 pvp mmo.

OP...i am against ncsoft as much as anybody regarding how they run l2 in the west....but what exact gear did you lose? if its something easy to get back im going to tell you to shut up because the game has a lot to offer regardless of the cash shop or how ncwest runs things.

Hell there is a windows 8 bug and a multi client bug that means i cant even play right now but lineage 2 is a very good mmo. it has seen many good and bad changes over the years but it offers something not many mmos offer anymore, its a true virtual world and home not just a flavor of the week theme park on rails.

Full B grade I remember the armor itself was like all 8+ and the weapons +12 +13 Jewels +8 as well if I remember correctly. OverAll it costs millions back in the day to get all of this.

With this said the GM's who gave the incorrect set on my character and not evne +'s and wrong weapon not even + either and said here take it or leave it 0 Adena on my account its impossible to restart over again, well maybe not but I am not going to waste the time trying to farm up millions to replace exactly what I had.

The GM's should have restored my account it was notified within 48 hours after it hand happend probabily sooner they have no excuse to why they can't even now its very simple replace how it was from before it went F2P I wouldn't care about the loss of a few levels.

AS far as other Gear I had a few other C Grade, D Grade, and possibly even some A Grade items in bank I am sure it was only a few pieces though things given to me by some friends back in the day.

My Originla NCsoft account goes all the way back to 2006, and to be screwed over by their company who I am sure had the security problems on their service as I wasn't the only one effected by this even if it was only 1 million loss is crap.

NcSoft doesn't care about its consumers they are charging insane amounts of money in the cash shop, and this is all they care about so far is money not the actual players of the game. I wanted to see if NcSoft had improved anything I logged into Aion first time in over 6 months today first thing i see is GOLD spam, I immediately log out.

I decided I would check the Lineage 2 cash shop I login, and no one is talking at all chat is dead and of course all my items are still missing on my characters except for the bound crap they gave me and no adena.

Honestly while it can't be proven I am really starting to think that the GM's themselves are doing this to its players maybe to make more money from cash shop purchases as they started selling enchant scrolls, or maybe they are secretly behind some gold selling companies who knows.  All I know for certain is that my items are gone because of the GM's ignorance, and failure to restore what was on my account since 2006 and never compromised once until they went Free 2 Play thats like over 4 maybe 5 years from the time I created the account.

Also got my account hacked a while back, still play though.

But then again I got my Battle.net hacked as well.

It's not NCsofts fault one get hacked it becuse one is retarded enough to get crap on your computer. // talking from experience. :)

When the GM's were outsourced they did all kinds of shady things.. lol. Though unlikely now.

Either way Losing B grade isn't much to cry over at this stage of the game. But ya i've never heard of anyone losing their account UNLESS they shared it, sold it or used walker/ranger.

There are dozens of reasons not to play L2, atleast on official servers, account chaos (i currently have 3 ncsoft accounts with the same login, master, nc account, support account), lags and poor game performance (its not like there arent servers with 15-20k people online without lags), billing chaos ("something went wrong while processing your request, but we wont tell you what"), server crashes (3 times a day? what is this? 2005?), and so on...

Account security and restoration is waaaay down the list.

I would never, ever "not" play a game just because someone else had issues with their account.

And since I played for over 4.5 years and never once had an issue I'll just use my experience there to inform whether I ever return to the game or not. My experience. Not yours.

And I tend to distrust the contingent of people who claim they were hacked as I get the feeling other shenanigans were at work. Going to websites you shouldn't be going to? Clicking on links you should be clicking on? Buying adena? using cheats?

Telling others of your account password? using the same account password for other games? Not changing your password regularly? Sharing your account?

I have been playing L2 on and off since OB.  Never had my account compromised, and never will for that matter,.  I have been playing MMOs since 1999, not one of my accounts from any of the many games I played has ever been compromised.  This isnt a reason I would not play a game OP sos nice try.  here is some free advice:  stop using 3rd party programs, run a solid AV, dont visit shady sites, come up with a good password, dont buy gold, and you will never have your acct  compromised either.

Me too, L2 is old, ugly and boring. I'll never forget the golden times, but I can't come back to this game anymore.

L2 graphics are super outdated, but it runs worse than GW2. Even having much better graphics, GW2 runs very smooth on my PC.

L2 gameplay is boring, I liked click to move in the golden times of L2, but now I don't like it anymore, except for isometric view(Lineage 1 and Lineage Eternal) click to move still is playable.
