Its funny, OP gave up on this after being completely ignorant to the other side of the argument. Why make a thread if you dont want to hear the answer you dont want to?

AV wanted people to be in battles, combat, running around and exploring. Not sitting around chatting. Is it common that people sit around in chat to gather groups and trade? sure. Is it an expression of VAST inexperience to think that there isnt also a lot of simple social chit chat going on as well? yes

Originally posted by Justin9820 I gave up dealing with the insane guy. Yes i did you can talk against it as much as you want to, but as a toggleable feature, there is not much to go against it, you use it if you want to. I'm up to discussion, no point being here otherwise. |

Originally posted by Elandir90 I could agree that a toggleable option could be on the table. One would have to make sure there wouldnt be any exploitable advantage to it. HOWEVER, with that said, like creating a voice chat engine in a game, if you player base isnt going to use it does it make sense to make? not sure the advantage is there on chat bubbles in fact I know for a FACT that you would lose some players although in all fairness you might also gain some does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

Sorry but i have to report for NDA, as ur commenting on features in a game that is under NDA still.
Edit: specific to the OP posting info that could only be found by playing beta, thus related directly to an ingame feature that is under NDA -
Thanks ,

Originally posted by SEANMCAD Like my example, I turn off all the chat windows and am in vent. If there was a chat bubble I would be able to see what they are saying. The problrm with a chat box is you dont know where the person is. A lot of people want chat bubbles in Darkfall and there is no reason not to give it to them as long as they are toggleable/optional. |

Originally posted by Badaboom I dispute that many people in darkfall want chat bubbles. I know when I played the vast majority of people I played with would have laughed at such a suggestion. I also know that public chat was not very busy because most people were on vent, but maybe I am wrong.
never the less, I vote no for chat bubbles pending no personal detailed review on how it could be exploited to ones pvp advantage. does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |

Originally posted by Yamota I totally disagree. Stupid chat bubbles popping up looks crude, amateurish, and low budget design to me. We just have opposite likes it appears. |

Originally posted by Yamota I guess my adversion to it outside of the fact that I personally cant stand them is that I fear it gives way to a different direction for Darkfall which I suspect is already happening anyway.
I mean, from what I have seen on the videos they have already given up on one of their main tentants which was 'no targeting systems target just like you would in real life!' does your game have rainbow sprinkles and magic ponies!? |
