Step 1)
Step 2)
Step 3)
Step 4)
Step 5 (Taking guesses)
What's puzzling here, is after SWG failure and post MMO history of half success, you'd think people would learn from these mistakes, especially when they were involved in them.
But no, it seems TOR managers are digging their grave deeper and deeper at each iteration.

This is amazing news way to go SWTOR. Those who have been hating on TOR for over a year now are squirming and are on MAJOR damage control. You can post all you want history has show you all have been wrong on everything about SWTOR. The 1st expansion of many is in the works, and nothing whined cried ans lied about on sites like this will stop it.
+100 for SWTOR And those who enjoy this game!

Great post!
Reading through the bullets .. yep .. yep .. yep .. yep..
I could only hope that EA gets some new interns who can actually say, "You know, this game isn't really what fans wanted." .. or "The monetization of Star Wars is becoming your worst enemy."
If SWTOR (and I mean IF) implements freeroam space combat, I hope they use a different engine (EQ1 had multiple engines in their game after all). Same with any potential competitive non-combat minigames (card games or racing).
SWTOR seems to load a brand new game every time players switch zones, so they might as well actually load a brand new game / game engine. Want a nice understanding of life? Try Spirit Science: "The Human History" |

Nice list, but ... Whew, thank God we aren't married. I could imagine the list you'd come up with.

Big mistake: Not including Space flight into a Star Wars game.
The Infinity freeroam space can't be linked enough. It's what SWTOR should have included (and what EA was asked to include years ago, but didn't):

Originally posted by Karteli Well lets hope their 2nd expansion will include your space combat, its very well documented its in the works. Patience is a virtue, lets just hope when the do give you the new space combat you dont jump on some other bandwagon. |

The main poster was the one misinformed and I would agree he probably has never played the game. To copy/paste something from another forum is funny. The best part is watch the same type of people (those who have not played/haters) eat it up and think its all true. |

Originally posted by pioneer08 I found the bullets rather down to Earth. Factual evidence lies with those that played the game, and the issues presented indicated someone who, in-fact, played the game. I don't see anything malign towards SWTOR here, just honesty.
SWTOR can be a great game, but it needs people to talk about how it can be better, not how great it (argueably) already is. Want a nice understanding of life? Try Spirit Science: "The Human History" |

Originally posted by pioneer08 First off I played the game for a few months. With that said, less than half were reponded to. Not very hard to count, well it may be hard for folks still playing SWTOR :P Some of the list may be completely wrong, buy I agree with more than disagree. |

Nice summary by the original poster. Why is it that SW-themed MMOs always become object lessons in 'how not to do an MMO'? |

Meh, I'm in on about half of the list. Weak engine performance, questionable prioritization, and KOTOR-WoW hybrid.
I'm still hoping they can pull off a win with it. I'm nowhere near a fan, but it's a decent IP that deserves a decent game. |

Originally posted by Oldschoolgamer1980 Perfect reply :P SW:TOR failed so badly as an mmo, would be good as a single player maybe |
Originally posted by Xirik Let's start with the first 3: 1) Check the word in red / italic and think about it for 2 minutes 2) Do you mean you wanted a single player game, without even good story as in others RPG games like say Witcher or Risen or Planescape Torment and aren't looking for meaningfull choices? 3) @launch, missing among others (not in the way the game had not all the below entries but it's the only MMO that had none of them):
Then I invite you to have a look at the below threads, before stating people like me are cluless of the game or don't want it to succeed. Reviews vs reality check and the F2P futureF2P the way it should have been Would you support a web site focusing on how to make SWTOR better?
