Yes, its the personal MMO in every MMO players private imagination, no one hates that game.

Never going to happen, because not everyone likes the same type of game. Players have different preferences when it comes to MMORPGs, some of them being mutually exclusive (EX: those that hate open world PvP, versus those who demand it).
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

Originally posted by aRtFuLThinG I had the single player version of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst before it was released online and I think it was a very different kind of game, I liked it because I love exploration and puzzles, also the ambients of the game were very unique and interesting, if anyone would consider it a better kind of mmo, I would say, it was because it came from a different breed of games, it had its own thing going on, it was not trying to be better at delivering the same kind of experiences that many mmo players can't stand anymore. If every mmo game could be this unique, we wouldnt even be able to perceive this much hate, but instead there would be people asking for more of the same. I think maybe many mmorpg players have been insanely playing, many different versions of the same game, over and over again, and always hopping that the new release is definitely better than the last ones, but most of the times the differences are obviously so minimal, that if compared to the similarities we could say that many mmos are a rip-off and many of those rip-offs are worse games than what the original game was at its release, and I at least want something better than that even if it means that it has to be a completely new beast.

OP, you’ve basically written a complaint about the site forums being overly negative in your view and somehow unhealthy. If this is how you feel then why bother reading or posting here? Go hang out where you can be happy. These are just games rather than anything of real importance. You are doing exactly what you complain about. Whinning...
PS: I don't say that to be mean. |

Originally posted by Crazy_Stick I think it is something bigger than these site's forums and I don't believe the ones that complaint are the bigger problem, I think that the ones that don't complaint are. I hope that the OP just wanted to discuss this, I doubt that he was complaining, but that is just my point of view, maybe you are right. |

Originally posted by Psy410 Definitely true imo. All these high fantasy themepark that account for more 90% of the mmos out there are testament to that. |

Would love to see one where the dev team pours everything into the world itself. Make it alive. Certain social creatures hang out in areas together....but other creatures free roam. No levels, no classes, VERY few quests (Talk to NPC's to find them...no BS "!'s"). Just a branching skill system players can freely roam and train to fit their playstyle. Plop us in the world, and do as you will. Adventure, Craft, make your reputation. The ability to change the world. Maybe someday......hopefully. |
