And I thought to myself:
"Why doesn't someone create a mod that gives all the enemy NPCs player sounding names so they can talk randomly in some kind of modded global chat."
They could complain when you kill them, threaten to report you and say random Chuck Norris jokes while others complain about said jokes...
They could even send you tells about joining their group, but then tell you "sorry we need only a pure healer".
Think I just came up with an awesome (fake) MMORPG.

NPCs saying the same few lines over and over and over again will get really annoying. Even if you give them a thousand different lines, it will pretty quickly feel like the same few lines over and over and over again. NPCs saying anything other than scripted lines will come out as word salad. |

Originally posted by Quizzical Well, one could be intrepid and create 100 random things to say. I've never fiddled with the dialogue and sound so I'm not sure if that's feasible. Still, the op has a rather amusing point. |

That's why you set up an online form to collect new "quotes".. + good randomization and event algorithms would be your friend also.. |
