You know when I first saw the post about them going kickstarter I was like yea ok good luck with that.  Now that I see he wants $250k I am like ok this is a joke or a con.

1-2.... But given the progress thus far and the lofty goals, they'd need a 10x + team expansion.  Everything came to a stand still while Jordi was traveling to pickup his new wife, so I'd guess the teams numbers 1 fulltime atm.

This is everything I hoped it would be.... This is absolute GOLD.

Theres no way this isn't a joke. That ridiculous opening montage where he doesnt even introduce himself or his role; that horrible walking animation montage; those giant pink polygons that I guess are supposed to be bears; .no actual gameplay being shown; that mininum goal; those backing options; that copy+paste of the original feature list with zero detail; that ridiculous list of extra features beyond minimum goal; that list of excuses for the risks and challenges essay.

Considering the only sane backing option on that page is the $50 one, $250,000 / $50 = 5000 backers. He only needs increase his customer base 10 fold and Xsyon Apocalypse is a go! How on Earth is that the minimum?

If that is the wording of the kickstarter then yes.. it is a all or nothing deal... Hench the ONLY part of it.

But as i said i have no idea if that equals the company closing shop and start looking for work in telemarketing or if it just means that they will release stuff slower.

Its rather pathetic and sad, that money could be better spent on more viable projects.  Thats all the genre needs, every failed/struggling MMO looking for a hand out at the expense of others.

I see nothing wrong with having kickstarter on a project that's already going. Problem to me isnt that he put out the kickstarter its the plans of where Xsyon is going.

Yep, we will see in 2 months just how many people decide to put up or shut up.

Lots of big talk on the forums about they will support, and how many people love PVE only worlds etc etc. Well, it will be pretty clear just how big that talk is when they decide to put $$$ where their faith is in Xsyon.

I myself will watch, after 5 months of no content, I believe its the best stance. I will support in any opinions and questions guides/devs have of me and my play experence.  [mod edit]
