Anet: You dont like it? Player: No Anet: That's... too bad. Player: But I bought the game.... Anet: We already got your money..... Sucker!! |

Whether the game is free (which it isn't, we paid money for it and the service is included in the box price) or not isn't important. They lied, that's all there is to it. The fact they don't even have the decency to apologise for wasting everyone's money is what's frustrating everyone. |

Well you had to know they were going to tire of the nonsense eventually. Threads only real purpose to was to let the natives vent their frustration, not much productive was going to come out of it. Gameplay is changing? Too bad, I'm sure somewhere in the TOS they've reserved the right to change the gameplay experience without notice. Don't like it, don't buy another product from them, really all you can do because they already got your money this time around.

If you don't like what Anet is doing just spam their forums lol. Continue playing the game and stop purchasing gems from their Cash Shops.
Pardon my English as it is not my 1st language :) |

Originally posted by Kyleran ArenaNet doesn't have a habit of "letting the natives vent their frustration". As another poster pointed out, they hand out infractions for absolutely everything. They're forum Nazis and it's way outta hand. Makes it hard to have discussions sometimes and/or form communities because you never know what could be considered an infraction in their eyes. I think they let the thread continue because they wanted to see the response (and the thread was heavily moderated). But it's too late for them to take the gear out of the game at this point. For most players though, the Ascended gear wasn't the only issue we had. Many players had other problems and that was just the last straw basically. |

Clearly page 222 does not exist in this thread.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns-IIn-DG-c Try to argue this please. Oh also if you quote me and it's to argue my point, if I don't respond it means I haven't been corrected by you and/or I haven't seen it. Remember I don't mind admitting I am in the wrong. Take care :D |

Originally posted by KingJiggly I think it would be appropriate if the people asking for the refunds got this: A charge back to their account. Then a dollar deducted from their account for every hour played (extremely cheap entertainment rate, they are getting a bargain). If that went past 60, they would continue to have a dollar deducted per hour. Played 200 hours and request a refund? Sure, here is your refund, but after the dollar an hour charge you are out 140. Thats what you get for asking for a fraudulent refund for a product you got significantly more than fair money's worth out of. |

It is far better than GW2Guru's forum, so yeah, I am glad.

Originally posted by FlawSGI Seriously? The link in there is a week old post from Chris Whiteside. That message was one of the reasons why so many players were so worried. First it was the blog and then this lame 'explanation' came that didn't actually explain anything and that is what caused this thread to go really fast. Everyone in that thread already knew about that post. It is what got them really worried in the first place ><

Originally posted by FrodoFragins Thought everyone knew about this. In June, Nexon became the largest stockholder in Anet. It's not a MAJORITY stockholder, but the largest single stockholder: http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/06/08/nexon-invests-6-8m-in-ncsoft-becomes-largest-shareholder/ Then, a longtime Nexon employee was hired as the Monetization Producer for ANet. She has a 'reputation'. She apparently 'destroyed' MapleStory by altering it's cash shop in some unabashedly greedy manner. It was one of the warning signs for a lot of us that were on the fence about GuildWars2 a couple months ago. She's NOT popular with the community: http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/75600-crystin-cox-and-the-gem-store/ |

Want to see what she looks like? She's the one on the left, of course... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJw0zI_KhHQ Yep, that's the person in charge of the cash shop... |

I'm actually ashamed to admit that i was not one of the forum posters on GW2's official forums getting banned. It seems that even though i can log onto the game and the site, i get an error anytime i have ever tried to log into thier forums. I had to contact support through direct email, and they even mentioned im not the only person with this problem and that its an issue on thier end and to try back later. It seems that player feedback on thier official forum isnt a big enough priority to bother fixing for those of us who cant.

Player: That's... to bad. Anet: But we already invested the money in making the expansion. Player: I already finished with your game... Tossers! Karma is a bitch, just ask SOE. Personally, I am playing GW2 quite happily but as a throwaway MMORPG, fun while it lasts but I know this game isn't going to last for me until the next big game to be released. Exploring the world, doing fun events and not worrying about gear or stats. But I also am not buying gems and an expansion that just brings more of the same won't be bought by me. And then that original purchase will start to become not a profit but a loss to Anet and I will say unto them: That's... to bad. |
