Is that about £20 if so yes, but..
Needs to be hybrid mmo, taking list of influence from the best themepark - daoc and the best sandbox - eve Original setting, like say late 19th early 20th century steampunk / horror / mystery, with a political / doomsday element regarding 1914. Or something equally cool and bloody new, rather than a substandard wow rehash. |

Hell fecking no! I might pay $15 or a bit more if it was my dream game, but then it could have no micro-transactions what so ever including xpacs, cash shops, paid renames, and the rest of that sort of bunk.

This should have been a poll question.
Yes. If everything was the way that I want it. |

I personally don't see the fault in paying $30 a month for the perfect game.
We pay $60 for games that we beat in a matter of days. It seems like the most logical way to spend your gaming money. |

Easily. Something along the lines of original EQ up to Velious with modern graphics , with tons of added GM active support actively banning the trolls spamming chat with obvious racist/overly vulgar etc unnecessary chat.

Have you seen what those folks over at Gemstone IV are paying or that game? I tend to think that if it is TRULY what you want to play, you will pay to play it.. If they developed a great sandbox based on Universal Century Gundam that fixed the bugs and mishaps of that other one they had in japan, and released it in the states.. I would pay more than I would pay for any other game to play it.. |

Sometimes you can't wait, Sometimes you have to scream your name & just run in. |

Yes, if the game was like Sword Art Online (not the dying part, but the cerebral full immersion) then yes I would. Literally living in another world would kick ass, as long as I can take the helmet off, Of course. |

Yes. I pay $150 for cable and internet, $15 for netflix, about $45 for various MMO's, and that's not even going into stuff like the occassional movie ticket or new video game release. I could see paying $30 a month for an MMO, especially if it meant dropping other subs and not getting as many new games. |

I'd prefer games to bring back the old EQ Legends server model where players can pay more to play on a server that doesn't have poor people on it.

heh some of these replies... I'm almost embarrassed to say I spend about 100 bucks a month on video games presently (almost). And thats down from about 150 a month in my twenties. I spend about 30-40 bucks a month on indie games ;p, a monthly sub or two, and a single player game about every other month. Themepark is not a sub genre, its an excuse. |

I dont understand why people freak out about MMO sub fees. If I go to the movie ($7) and buy a popcorn ($4) and a drink ($3) I spend between $14 and $17 for 2 hours of entertainment. I leave the theater with nothing for the rest of the month. MMO's are so much more entertainment than that. I would gladly pay $30 a month for a really good sandbox MMO.

Yes without a second of hesitation. If they released a proper Elder Scrolls MMO, Shadowrun MMO or heck even SWG2 that was done properly.

My short answer is no.
However, I would consider 30 plus a month for a sub if the devs made it worth my while. At 30 dollars a month my expectations would be ridiculiously high, so much so that I don't think such a game is possible now or in the near future. Quizzical: One of the fundamental laws of the universe is that if an acronym is used often enough, someone will try to pronounce it. Kyleran: It's like how the Hebrews feel about the true name of God, it's never to be pronounced. If I actually try to describe it vocally to others I tell them I play online games. |
