Dervish2 from SWG pre cu IIRC. Most of the lightsaber/melee/Teras Kasi animations looked great btw. |

Phantom Army was pretty cool...but really, just a mod on the old approach to Necromancers from the wayback machine. I think I'll got with it (and any of its clog-screen-with-pets variants) anyway. Running around with a pack of guards/lawnmowers is always a lot of fun. -Nearly every single bad trend in MMO development was started by the developers.--Wordiz |

Off the top of my head, FFXI's Scholar's Light/Dark Arts skill, changing proficiencies was never so awesome :3

Mind Control in WoW, pre-nerf. It was just so fun to use, on players and mobs alike. Throwing people off the cliff in Arathi Basin was just too hilarious. |

Originally posted by rpg123 I'd have to agree too. Also you could drown them in water way back when you couldn't hold your breath as long as you can now. I couldn't count how many times I drowned an alliance on my troll priest at the blacksmith in arathi basin lol. Or even more fun was in ironforge, jumping alliance into the forge lava :D Burn baby burn!
My second choice would be sap from rogues. She can't say no if you sap her first ;) "Well, there was a time when I was quick to judge others based on what little I'd heard. Tranquility in WoW. Loved that spell in WC3 and continued to love it when I first got it in MMO form.

In general terms, the fine art of crowd control, something pretty much lost in nowaday's MMOs where most of the time it's just tank & spank plus AOE fest.

Fishing in UO.
filmoret: One thing I have never figured out is why the game devs hardly ever fix simple problems that arise. It is like they don't care about the pvp community. Nitth: What makes you so sure its a simple fix? filmoret: Because most of them are. Sometimes its just changing a number in a code string other times its creating a few variables. However none of them should take over a few hours of coding. |

Its not an mmo, but its close enough. D2's Druid Hurricane skill was "the bomb".

Originally posted by rpg123 Unfortunately, so many mobs were made immune to it, that was virtually its only use. Any skill that makes your hands glow or weapon have particle effects coming off of it.
I played WoW up until WotLK and now play Runes of Magic. |
