Originally posted by ShakyMo The penalty involved will be "meaningful" enough that players aren't just going to want to switch to the FOTM campaign where their Faction is ahead, because it won't be worth it. At the same time, players can switch to campaigns where their faction is the underdog, and there's more PvP available, (people do this all the time). Therefore, one faction will never stay on top permanently, and someone would have to keep switching around to join the campaign where their faction is winning, more often than they'd be capable of doing... Just for clarification |

No muffins you misunderstand
The other 2 factions won't band together They will just take the ap hit and switch to a campaign where they are winning |

Originally posted by ShakyMo No offesnse, but if you haven't played DAoC, it's hard to comprehend what "taking the AP hit" will involve, because I know in DAoC, if you lose a few RR's (Realm Ranks), that's a BIG DEAL. And Paul Sage said that Campaign switching penalties will be "meaningful", so for all intents and purposes, we have to look at campaign switches as a sort of server transfer, as previously stated by someone in this thread. |

i played daoc for years Modern players aren't daoc era players. Kids nowadays take ti way more personally when they die in game. if they dont have things in place to stop players switching to a campaign where they dominate, it will be a huge mess. |

Darkness Falls is a large dungeon in Dark Age of Camelot with PvE content... but all three Realms could go there (sort of) and PvP each other over the PvE.

Originally posted by Axxar Ahh, yeah public dungeons will be cool, infact I'm loving that Cyrodil will be an actual open world pvp zone rather than just a big pvp map, having quest hubs, public dungeons etc will give me something to do other than joining the nearest zerg |

Originally posted by deakon Darkness Falls wasn' just a "Public Dungeon", public dungeons were just any dungeon within a zone that was non-instanced, but most of these dungeons were in the players' "home zones", so you didn't have a chance at PvP there... Darkness Falls was a whole different story entirely, because there were three seperate entrances (one for each Realm), and players could go in there and PvE OR PvP, and players were motivated to PvE in there, because they had their own "Darkness Falls" currency, that offered SICK loot, BUT, of course, if players went in there, they ran the risk of getting ganked, (particularly by stealthers), so it was very HIGH risk HIGH reward, and all in all, the PvP added a layer of intensity to the dungeon that just made it simply AWESOME. |

You had to unlock access to df by your realm doing well in rvr. Only one realm at a time had access. However once you were in you weren't kicked if another realm got access, they had to kill you to get rid of you.
