I Love how LAZY all the haters make themselves out to be. I mean there is this magical new invention called the INTERNET but these people are so SOFA KING LAZY that they cant look up things before running there mouths on a fourm about things they have absoulty ZERO true info on .  The Classic Epic Entitlement Troll !

Now i played XIV from September 2010 to July 2011 apart from the amazing grapics the game to me was just so incomplete and all it was  just  Eye Candy . Now i have been following Yohsi P and i am really liking the direction the game is going. Already in Grid just removing that Stupid ramp next to the Leve Hall was a great step and the Crystal is now in what was the lake. This video was more for the faithful then the passer by . It was SE showing us the improvements that were made. Current Grid has dark sky no light through the tree lines and is way way to one shade of green. This version of Grid makes you feel alive in the 12 wood . the ambient sounds the colors of a lush forset all combining for a great experiance . I for one am very happy and excited to Beta test this in Mid Late December.

Now for a few Haters like Nitth , I would like to open your mind for a second because you have no clue what your talking about in reguards to the video just showing a guy walking around and how that doesn't  justify a 30 day sub. Lets break down the cheap 15$ per month sub fee. there are 30 days in a month ( typically ) 15$ divided by 30 is .50 cents a day. Or to put that in even more perspective lets say you have a job flipping burgers at Mcdonalds and you make 6.50$ per hour in 2 hours and 30 mins of one day of work ( assuming you work 8 hours a day 5 days a week 40 hours total  and there are 4 weeks in a month and a total of 160 working hours in a month unless you have overtime or only work part time )  you payed your month fee and still have a 1.25ish left over in 2 hours 30 mins! (sence the sarcasm )

One you will notice the lancer walk down to a dock , there is a NPC next to the dock , with the word TRANSPORTATION under his name. Witch would i dont know suggest you can ride a boat perhaps? Also there will be Chocobos right away you know yellow flightless birds that carries you off because you dont want to walk.  OH and these Chocobos can also fight by your side and also have "jobs" ( use the internet look it up thats called research ) You can also teleport to different camps and cities at a cost . The game will not be a combat grinf fest. You can level up by doing quests also , and level up from crafting or gathering or fishing .The combat system is fluid TP is at full from the start . ALL the UI is customizable for PC and PS3 . PS3 menu will look like the XMB menu . Yoshi P has said they might add a second mode of transportation Flight . ( witch would make sence because air ships are a part of FF )  ALSO this is ALPHA , ALPHA say it ALPHA . The game will not be out until 1st QTR 2013 so that is January ~ May depending how ALPHA then BETA go. Sofar ALPHA is being tested in Japan only . And i watched a Leaked Video there were so meney people in one place and ALL on screen .

Tonight  early moring think 12am pst there will be the LIVE event and letter from the Producer LIVE on youtube . The event is the end of the world as we know it now in XIV. The Live event will stream this and also talk about AAR and show new things. This would be a perfect time for people like Nitth to watch.

I can not name a game or a company that failed a game then took player feed back and promissed them a better game at no charge SE is greatful to its players admitted a mistake and vowed to present the players with a experiance unmatched by others. When they could have done like everyother company put out crap charge you knowing its crap and not do anything to fix the crap.

I can not wait for ARR but it is worth the wait !

Firstly, I'm not a hater. i'm referring to the video and what it shows.
Secondly i do know what i'm talking about, Longevity is a major concern for any mmo release.

What exactly are you trying to prove with that train of thought? that $15 is not that much? $300 for a bottle wine every night wouldn't be to expensive for a lawyer or any other person of high income. The point is neither here or there and not what i was proposing as an argument.

There has to be enough fun, motivation or interest to keep paying the monthly sub if it comes to the point where you can raid once a week and do a few dalies everyday that doesn't justify paying $15. you can do that on facebook for free (minus the raiding).

I'm teetering back and forth with FFXIV, personally.

On the one hand, I love the lore, world design, Final Fantasy feel, art and music style, etc. But I positively don't want to play what is essentially a Final Fantasy-flavored <Insert Generic Themepark of Your Choice Here>. There were so many fantastic ideas in the original release that were horribly implemented, and instead of fixing them and letting them realize their potential they gutted them and replaced them with the same paradigms you find in other games.

I'm talking about things like the active battle system (with stamina), character collisions, levelquests, market wards. The removal of the first one alone nearly killed the game for me.
