Too many action scenes cut with zooming out, makes it confusing and as if they're trying to hide the actual combat.

It's like comparing masturbation to sex, they are similar in some respects, but really are not comparable." -jimdandy26 |

my honest prediction: DF:UW will sell fairly well, nothing massive but well. then in a giant uproar people will start crying about the game and how it didnt deliver / has shitty combat. most of these people will have never played DF the original. |

edit - I didn't read the last sentence DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

Originally posted by bcbully Thats sad and IMO lazy development. Now I dont begrudge someone's like of certain perspectives in a video game, but if you're going to go with a character viewpoint (over say side scrolling or isometric) then there is nothing wrong with having 2 different perspectives (first & third) for all combat types. In fact it is why I loved Skyrim so much, because unlike it predecessors it actually was somewhat viable to play in 3rd person. ( I only used 1st person while looking for items or looting). My opinion only though.
As for the video, I must say it does look like they have come along way from the original's combat animations so they might get me to try it based on this initial video. |
