They really are pushing those gambling packs, which cost about $4 each.  I wonder what the new subscriber expenditures will be .. was $15 a month ... now ... $30 a month?  $50 a month? :-)

I am definitely going to get several gaming packs LOL, but I already have 2500 + 250 at launch CC earned. I also decided that I will add about $20 bucks in addition to sub monthly if stuff will be coming and I will like them. That's my way to support the game I love.

Free To Play and Game Update 1.5 Details

• Free to Play and Update 1.5 go live on Thursday, 11/15/2012. (No details on the maintenance period were given.)
• The cheapest package for Cartel Coins: $4.99 for 450 Coins. (90 Cartel Coins per dollar.)
• The most expensive package for Cartel Coins: $39.99 for 5500 Coins. (137 Cartel Coins per dollar.)
• Several additional packages will be available in between those two prices. The more expensive the package, the better value the player receives.
• Subscribers on the one month plan will receive 500 CC per month. Players on the 3 month or 6 month plans will receive more per month. (Exact numbers were not given but will be available next week.)
• Former subscribers automatically receive "Preferred" status.
• New F2P players receive "Preferred" status upon buying anything from the SWTOR store. The $5 CC package and the security key fob being the cheapest items that will grant Preferred status.
• buy.swtor.com will be the site for purchasing Cartel Coins and other items.
• Services such as character renames and appearance changes being purchased with CC are possibilities for the future.
• Most items bought on the Cartel Market, including content unlocks, can be traded or sold on the GTN by design.

Thanks, this news makes me quite happy.

Also based on some posts on SWTOR forum xp reduction for F2P players is ~25%. Most of players said the difference is not noticable at levels 1-10 though. It might be that the reduction is progressive.

Also somebody mentioned that XP boosts drop as mission rewards so it might be less significant for F2P that it seems.

I would be caucious here with this number though until we get a real comparition data.

Edit. As all XP boosts on Cartel Market are 25% - I think that the initial number for slower experience is correct.

I don't mind not gaining rested XP. I would like to see a slight increase though compared to completely free players. I'm just still a little bummed that for spending ~$100 (which is porobably more than many if not most free players will spend) all I get is SLIGHTLY less restrictions and $2 worth of cartel coins.

Never-the-less, I do want to complete the storyline on several classes, so I'll be back on the 15th (DL'd today ahead of time).

I already giggle on the thought of login in to game on November 15th and seeing 200+ players in fleet with their Party Jawas flying around their heads. LOL  it's going to be hilarious

If XP boosts which drop in missions are tradable, there will be tons of them on GTN. I wonder if they will drop from kills. I guess we will find out.

That 25% nerf on XP is a BAD, BAD idea.  You should not hinder peoples experience of your free trial.  Typical greed.

What bugs me is that I paid full price for the game on release and I'm limited to two characters when they switch to F2P.  The same limitation of people that never bought the game at all.

The ironic thing though is you do not really need the CC if you sub, but if you want to play the game via F2P, you will need the CC.

Without having the CC that you should get, will limit the game, and make the game not so good, making it not worthwhile to sub. If people had some CC, then would get them further into the game, and may want to buy some more CC for about $5 per month or something.

This deal just voids the point of F2P. They even have 250 CC for being subbed when it goes F2P, as a further incentive of being subbed now. All those that stay subbed when F2P hits will get about 850 CC more than those not being subbed. So no need for them to get people to sub to get any CC.
