Originally posted by Purutzil If you wan't to argue numbers, out of the supposed 10 million wow players, how many have purchased MoP? In both cases, Blizzard and NCsoft, I believe it's too soon to assume any level of failure. Funny thing, is, you're the one spinning numbers, all I'm asking is that people not jump to conclusions based on spin. If NCsoft continues to underperform through the coming fiscal year, then that's another matter. That is why it takes 3 or more consecutive quarters to confirm a recession, not one. |

This is not to blame on GW2 like bc is trying to pin it on. We know it sold well and according to expectations. They seemed to have higer expectations for other titles. We also know that with the election results there are bound to be shakes felt on the market. Our market was also down yesterday.

Makes you kind of wonder all this research early in the morning late at night during the middle of the day, for a damn game you don't even play.
Lol well I guess someone has to keep everyone entertained. |

Originally posted by sammyeli I didn't say it was a flop, it's just not as big a success as expected, I doubt members of the hype train can make that distinction though. "i don't waste my time building relationship in games" - nariusseldon |

GW2 sales strong after release in the Western market. GW2 sales dominate NCSoft game charts. "GW2 sales exceed expectations" according to NCSoft "Stable item sales" according to NCSoft
NCSoft stock drops because overall companies revenue expectation where not met.
How's this topic related to GW2 again? What are you trying to imply? I sense some desperation in the air...

Originally posted by RefMinor Oh, I doubt haters can see it is doing better than NCSoft thought it would. That last underlined phrase was from NCSoft.

NCSofts success as a whole will play a big factor in how well GW2 will do in years to come. Ask those that play/played City of Heroes. I woudn't imagine things tanking but who knows.

THere are too many different scenarios and frankly right now, I don't have the time. |

Of course NCSoft said it did better than expected. Do you really think they would come out and say "uh yeah, our much anticipated and hyped new release did worse than expected, but everything is just fine ...nothing to worry about."

To be fair he hates NCSOFT as well, but you'd think this would be in general discussion.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns-IIn-DG-c Try to argue this please. Oh also if you quote me and it's to argue my point, if I don't respond it means I haven't been corrected by you and/or I haven't seen it. Remember I don't mind admitting I am in the wrong. Take care :D |

Originally posted by Xiaoki Its not GW2 fault, its B&S. B&S( a subcription game of almost 20$ a month) in 3 months of release and opened in china did LESS that GW2 in 1 month. I can assure you B&S was as anticipated in asia as GW2 is anticipated in the west if not more. |

Originally posted by RefMinor It might have been that their expectations were higher, although the game sold very well and we know that. It might also be that they had higher expectations from B&S since that one didn't sell as well. Of course in the realm of forumland people look to justify their agenda around the data.
This could have definately been the making of lower than expected revenue from GW2, but we know that the game sold well so its a bit hard to imagine that. |
