I am noticing the mid ranged zones are thinned out and are more on the vacant side.but what are server merges going to do when A) you can just merge to a server yourself with a transfer and B) everyone is 80 or in the Lowbie zones on alts?

Somrthing is going on.
Instant queues for Eternal battle Grounds again today on Jade Quarry. Queues used to be 2-4 hours for EB
20 Spvp server right now, down from 200+ a few weeks after launch.
DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

What is this? Say something enough times and hope that people will actually start to believe it? Anyone who plays the game will know that the exact opposite of what the OP says is closer to the truth.

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus *AND* you can get as much karma doing the events there because they're faster and lower risk. Random Orr DE results in 375 karma (no bonuses or boosters) and many of the Orr DE's take quite a few people to complete and around 15-20 minutes. By comparison, I get 278 karma from lower level DE's and many of them are over in mere minutes and can be solo'd.
So basically, I end up doing more events at a faster pace and the end result is no real net loss in karma. |

It's basically a solo game anyway, so who cares... but a server merge would be good only to have other players to play with.

Originally posted by stevebmbsqd Yep, Halo doesn't appeal to any other mmo gamers. I'm sure no other online games are feeling the hit because Halo is such a focused demographic which is why it made news on NPR this morning, is plastered all over my NewEgg mailing, and every other place I seem to visit. It's always funny to see the same "objective" people with their "objective" opinions and snarky observations in every thread for a game they find so "console style". |

Dude, it's 6:30PMish (US Central Time), Tuesday, November 6th. Twelve of twenty-four servers are FULL. The other twelve are "High."
This isn't the first week where the population was highly compressed in various areas. Now the only compression is in Arah and the various cities with the rest of the population spread all over the place. |

Originally posted by Kyleran They're not empty. It's 1:41AM GMT right now and I did a brief tour of my server (Aurora Glade) and there are plenty of people in the lower zones.
Further, the title is misleading and the OP brought it on himself by trying to be sensationalist and telling us that something normal is somehow a 'problem.'

Zones are too big the 1-17 people are always talking I think making a different zone for each race was a mistake they should of mixed two races in one zone or had less races.
Being you don't have to pay for this game people are not going to make if a lifestyle it's going to be casual like I don't have to play if I don't want to casual cause it's free.
See with a game like Dark Souls you have alot of people but it's in a condenced area. |

some people seem to just comment anything but nothing about my original post.... i wasnt talking about PvP/ WvW , i said the PvE maps are mostly empty and that hasnt changed since yesterday and it wont change tomorrow. why some people here just talk about PvP maps is a mystery to me..... and again a FULL SERVER on the server table doesnt mean that this server has reached its maximum players online capacity it also counts offline players. p.s 2-3 players per huge map do count as emtpy....

Originally posted by Goromhir Maybe it's just a mentality thing that comes with assigning levels to zones. Lower Level = obsolete for roughly every other MMO in existence, and hell, that's still the case for almost every RPG that involves leveling in some form. There is, of course, also the possiblity that there are people who don't really understand the point of GW2' downscaling system, and don't realize that the content remains relevant to some degree and drops loot on your current level, not only on the level of the zone it came from. The result is that a lot of people just go lump themselves in the higher level zones. |
