If you see no good or you see no bad in a game, chances are you are bias. |

To be fair, ANet isn't anywhere near the first company to purposely 'silence' their forums of stuff that appears negative. Its done on a lot of games, not every company is as willing as Trion in letting 'negative' threads wander around and would much more willingly cover up problems as much as possible on their own forums.
Sadly, they have full right on their forums to do so as do other games and its not really unexpected. The easiest way to 'fix' a problem is to pretend it doesn't exist and let others who don't know about it have little way to see just that.
Don't worry, even our governments do it, its the in thing. :) |

Bottom Line is this. 1. All you have to do is go to google and search for hacks for any MMORPG, and know the basic concept of how they work. 2. By using hacks you risk being banned, keylogged, malicous virus etc. 3. Arena Net is likely removing threads to cover up how bad their game is doing from the search engines. 4. I really quit GW2 alraedy it just feels not fun compared to Guild Wars 1, I am waiting for DFUW. 5. Whoever made the Leather armors needs to be FIRED from GW2 Artwork seriously sucks (Opinion) but good lord i played a leather wearer as a Norn and they all look the same. 6. Not enough costumes make pirate costume and such wearable in combat add skills while in town or a toggle for them. 7. Add a function instead of using tramsute stones just to place armor into a slot like rift it changes appearance. 8. If they are removing posts they are no better than minea on the Tera forums fail community managers covering up how bad their game is doing. Unless a forum contains foul langauge or breaks rules other than opinions they should not remove it because they should know the posts will go to other big MMO sites and just make their company look worse. These are the reasons I quit besides bots/hackers they either fix it or they dont. /end rant. |

I can't tell about other posts but it seems the half image you posted here, indicates that your post had turned to a blaming and flaming tournament so it had to be closed. That's also the main problem with many forums, many people have to flame or troll around 24/7, making many threads that were supposed to be constructive, turn into a flamewar which leads to closure. |

Originally posted by Raekon This ^. Anet has come out the gate stating that they will be moderating their own forums very strictly and to their own rules. This shouldn't be a shocker to anyone at this point. They don't host their own forums to provide a place for people to whine & complain about their game. The primary purpose of their forums are to resolve technical issues, report bugs, issue updated statements to the community, and provide a place for friendly discussion / feedback on the game. Things a lot of people (especially on these forums) can't seem to handle very well. They've made it quite clear that their forums are not a fansite. There's a huge difference between the two. However, there's quite a number of forums you can go to to complain about the game if that's your thing (and it looks like the OP is already aware of one of them).

good day to all, until last patch i was enjoying the game , but yesterday i got (as 1000's others) a DC issue, then i take a look on forums , at certain post i saw something as this from a ANET - staff employe : Hey guys as a temporary workaround if you have the mobile authenticator linked to your account I would recommend un-linking it for the time being until this gets worked out. ''.... Its very bad a person from ANET comes to their forums and talked about a fix by removing the only secure feature that we have in the game , well i stop to play for a day until they really fixed it |

Lessons over the years... never preorder, don't listen the hype, don't trust games with the label " WoW killers"

So you believed word of mouth, I honestly haven't seen anyone claim GW2 to be a WoW killer, I know people said SWTOR would be... hahah how that turned out.

Originally posted by Istavaan Same here. I loved the game. Sadly Guild wars 2 release around some truly amazing games. There's not enough time in the day to play the best games out right now along with Guild Wars 2. Thankfully i don't have to pay for a subscription, ss i can return later. Something that really hurt SWTOR... Im sorry but When that game released Skyrim ate all of my time, then Mass Effect 3 hit and it was bye bye SWTOR. |

Originally posted by Istavaan Same. In fact, I think the game is actually better than I thought it would be because I didn't expect the PvP (WvW) gameplay to be so fun. Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob? |

Originally posted by Randayn Actually if you'd have read the thread the OP showed you'd see that what looks to be a well intended post started to go south fast. Hence the closure. But I know... you'd rather make baseless "They are only defending it because they think GW2 is the second coming" than actually read what you are discussing. Seems to be a trend from a few. |

It is disappointing that ANET is so heavy handed with their moderation. They have a long way to go to really earn my respect as a developer of MMOs. This is their chance to show they've paid attention to other companies mistakes. I really hope they change their policies and learn how to make a compelling end game.

It appeared to me that the moderator was responding to another poster who had wondered why certain "bad" names were allowed. Honestly- google arenanet moderators and see the complaints about moderation, then click on page 2 of google results (I know, it's a safe place to bury dead bodies). You'll see complaints of LACK of moderation at offsite forums. *shrug* It seriously easy folks. If you don't like Anet's moderation, start your own forum, or use on that already exists.

Newmoon, if you read the thread (and the mod's post), you can see the problem is his English. Just look at his formatting. He ends his post with "Greetings", fails to capitalize sentences, places commas where they don't belong, and I'm not sure what he meant by "shorts". The overall phrasing is just awkward. Maybe people are too used to awful English on this site to notice, but it's far below what is expected of a professional.
