Originally posted by bcbully They sell rather useless junk keys, why would the rest of us care? It is a fun game and you really dont need this stuff. Or you could farm the keys just like anything else, or buy it for real money. As I see it they pay the money I would pay for monthly fees for me, thankyou guys. And they havnt actually lost money, they bought stuff for it. They knew what they were buying. No one feels sorry for me when I buy Guiness for my money. No one forced either of us. And it is not like they actually got better characters for this, but they already knew that one they bought their keys. So what is your problem? People dont whine when someone buy a new flying mounts in Wow or whatever. |

Originally posted by Aerowyn You had to gamble and go through RNG to buy stuff in Rift, Tera or TSW? what is this silly comparison? you guys are not even on same wave lenght of what he is trying to say. I doubt anyone here is complaining about cash shop but the support for gambling and how it is ok to implement it in MMOS. Well because it is ANET!! |

because the see the item, see the price, then buy it. These are not items in the cash shop. This is buying a lotto ticket and hoping to win.
People on the official forums have said, "Just let me buy it. Forget this lotto stuff." DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

Originally posted by bcbully but in all those other games such as TSW or Rift can i aquire those CS items with ingame currency? or am I forced ot pay real money for them? i can see people just wanting to buy the items though.. maybe they should offer them for a higher price OR get a chance to get them in chests I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. Originally posted by Aerowyn In Rift and TSW if someone is spending 20 or 30 bucks he knows what he is getting. How is that same as gambling your 30 bucks away? And why do you think Anet amde these BLC skins avilable only through chests and TP and not through events or other activities? Because not everyone is sitting on pile of gold to spend it on TP. People are msot probably goign to spend cash again to buy gems and convert it into gold to buy those items. In both situations Anet wins. |

Originally posted by Sigilaea There is no realiable location to farm them. They drop at the rate of epic world drops in WoW (hardly ever). Beyond that zone completion will sometimes net you one. |

money money money, must be funny.... "no subsciption costs, ever" (also a subtle way of saying - we can shit on you and you got no right to argue) "but if you want something outta our awesome events, cough up the cash and roll the dice!" Originally posted by TwoThreeFour I don't know; the state Lottery certainly publishes the odds. Millions of people, every week, still expect lightning to strike them. Is there really any 'responsible' way to run a lottery? |

I'm not overly bothered eitherway, but there is clearly something "off" with having a % chance drop/lottery style component combined with something tied to a cash shop if the game is not gambling age restricted. |

Originally posted by Yakamomoto Indeed, they don't NEED to keep you happy anymore, they already got your 60$ months ago, now all they need to do is lure people to spend cash on the gems, those that do are fools and makes ANET happy, those that aren't, they don't give fret about. Well I am definitely sick of Arenanets methods, the whole "we invented a whole new business model and call it Buy To Play", Then the cash gambling on the treasure chests, I seriously hope enough people report this to ESRB, I already did it. https://www.esrb.org/about/contact.jsp This is worse than Zynga and a serious danger for all minors and their parents who were led to believe there is no cost attached to the game. False advertising, period. That is something which can and should be taken into court. Arenanet/NC went too far with this one. |

Is the drop rate really only 2%? For a key that costs almost a pound?
