For me its 2 items. In US Knight Online it would be a Glass Belt from my guild and the +6 Mirage Sword CoolTang gave me to replace my +7 Durandal. That +6 Mirage sword was stained with the blood of thousands and thousands of poor humans at the hands of CoolTang! My first EQ epic I ever finished.... Spear of Fate... took me almost a year the first time to do that quest. My rangers 1.0 I didn't MQ either, that was a fun one. But I also enjoyed my complete set of Dragon Slayer armor on my hunter in Vanilla WoW, I really loved showing that set off, because it was so hard at the time to complete the set before AQ released. |

'a dog'. I purchased Ultima Online shortly after it launched, I was a young lad, of 12 or 13, I started in Trinsic and as I wandered through the city toward the gates I stumbled upon another player taming an eagle, I watched him intently for a moment until he successfully made the bird his pet, so, also wanting a pet I followed suit and started typing "Here now, won't you be my friend?", and other messages that automatically pop up when one uses the taming skill on an animal. Eventually, after laughing his ass off no doubt, the other tamer taught me how to access my skills window and how to properly tame, so I did just that, to the first animal I came across 'a dog'. With my new faithful pet, we traveled North on the map, referencing my cloth map I knew this was the way to Britiannia, half way there two others players popped out of hiding and Heavy Crossbowed my to death, then I had to watch from the black & white perspective as a ghost as a single bolt killed my pet dog. They rattled off in 1337 speak and I'm sure I replied in a series of furious OoOooo's. It was at that point I decided I was going to be a PK, and that MMORPG's were here to stay as a hobby. Thx dog.

RDM Pimp hat from FFXI, from the day I joined the game I seen someone with that hat, I had to have one. I went neked everywhere for the rest of the day just wearing that hat.

Everquest. Mine was a "circlet of shadow" for my SK, a no-cast-time invisibility that was later replaced with the "circlet of shadowS". That was of course before AA invisibility and was an item that enhanced SK gameplay by ALOT at the time. The cool thing was that the original items remained unchanged and in game, they just didnt drop anymore. Also EQ, was my "mask of tinkering", an gnome illusion clicky that only existed in very limited amount in the game. It dropped in the original sleepers tomb. When a guild completed the quests in that zone till the end the sleeper was awakened and the loot table changed FOR EVER. Thus the rare amount of masks of tinkering in the whole game, one of the most sought after items. |

In EQ1 there was an armor set, I don't remember what it was called now, that was Erudite paladin and cleric only. I believe two of the three pieces were easy to get a hold of but the chest piece was a random loot from the giant frog boss in the bottom of the warrens. It was a beautiful midnight blue color and completely unique looking. The stats weren't even that great but it was so good looking I wore it all the time. I also loved that it was unique to Erudite paladin and clerics considering there weren't that many of us at all to begin with.
