Tried the guardian yesterday! Mine main is a Shatter Burst Mesmer, soo I thought its time to do something else. And I made a healing guardian! Mine main job is keep Mini alive, mine teammate. Soo there I was ready to go and have some fun, the map we entered had some players from a guild, named paradigm, interesting way to train ^^ Have fun watching the vid!! If your from Germany or US, try ip hide, im already uploading it with other music ^^

nice vid:) haven't done any sPVP with my guardian yet.. but crazy how much damage mitigation guardian can muster up.. my warrior with decent toughness and 22k HP still can get dropped in seconds. I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg |

I'll give you a huge repsect for the music choice in the first video :)
As for healing builds. I hope they become more viable and more widely used in some new PvP format... However since friendly targeting is not possible atm, i kinda doubt we will ever see any heal system as in GW1, let alone the awesomeness of prot. monks :P |

Yeh, I always loved healing! I dont see many "healers" in gw2, I got this build of a friend, who healed me during hotjoins (he use it also in tournaments). Now I tried it, I must say its fun and challenging. Staff n4 gives 3k heals to yourself and allies, staff n2 shoots on orb look good is it close to your team member donate it and it heals for 1,5k. Mines attacks got a 30% chance to heal allies with a 10sec cd. Virtue of resolve, the passive healing, mine allies also gets it. When I use it allies also gets it.
Mace n2 heals for 1,4k, shield n5 heals also. Mine healing skill heals ppl for 3k, utilty skill heals. They are very happy when im there to rpotect them with this build ^^ And I start to like it!! |

for guardian play, i use a build from a tPvP team. i feel so bad when i play it though. it really feels like cheating. here's the build and guide if anyone wants: http://www.vvv-gaming.com/forum/topic/58116-bunker-builds-guardian/ Experience is the best teacher.. if you can afford the tuition. |

I had a healer/supprt ranger build for a short amount of time in SPvP. It was generally fun, and I had a decent amount of survivability by stacking toughness, regen, healing power, and protection procs, plus one of my pets giving me a second heal. It was cool instant rezzing teammates too. I was still susceptible to high burst, especially from thieves at the time and hundred blades warriors. But I had no where the utility of effectiveness as a Guardian. Its kind of a shame because the Guardian truly does the support role better then any other profession in pretty much every aspect. |

Originally posted by TheHavok really depends on situation and what you are trying to do.. as far as pure bunker capture point holders I'd say guardian is probably the most effective overall although good warrior can do it very well also.. but depending on spec ele, mesmer, and necro I have played very well in the support role and can bring many tools to the support role guardian can't. I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. Originally posted by Nevulus I attempted to make a Ele healer. It doesn't work out to well. The thing about guardian heals is it is easy to control. They come out of your moves like the #4. you charge up and pop heal!
ele heals are all ground targets or aoes. So you throw one down to try to save a teammate and they just dodge and roll and recieve zero healing. it's really annoying. Playing: Path of Exile |

Originally posted by bingbongbros I found ele support really requires team coordination to truely shine and unless you are on some sort of voice chat to communicate things it isn't half as effective.. still can be fun to play in PUGs though just not as rewarding.. but ele also has access to a lot of CC options as well you just need to be fast at swapping between the elements I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. Try prioritizing your dodge over the use of your skills, you'll find that you survive much longer if you're able to utilize your dodge roll as much as possible.
Also that Asuran Guardian who actually utilizes the ability to Ring Banish made me happy, too often do Guardians not take advantage of the extra damage you pull off with Ring of Warding. |

It's weird you rolled a guardian as you already had a Mesmer. Mesmer is a great heal/support toon and I really enjoy playing her. |

It's not that weird. Some people actually like doing the same thing between characters but with different mechanics.
Each to his own. There is no wrong way to play a game. You either enjoy it or you don't. |
