Somewhere between it's okay for a while and pretty decent.

Originally posted by pmcubed Aye, I'll check in from time to time with the game since there's no sub fee. I got my money's worth, sadly I chew through content in a game so quickly, heh.

I enjoyed it for a while, when I felt like I was progressing and had goals. I honestly don't care for cosmetic armors or dungeon runs, nor grinding for legendaries and karma. At this point I feel like logging in is simply to waste time, and it offers me nothing I can't find in a single player game. I generally run into this issue with most MMOs once I reach max level, so it isn't a problem I have with GW2 specifically. It just generally takes much longer. I'm not entirely sure how big the e-sport market is, but it seems they're pushing most of their focus in that direction to increase income - maybe at the cost of endgame diversions to keep non-pvp interest piqued. I didn't care for sPvP, I wasn't interested enough to put in the effort to research my class and strive to be good at it. WvW was fun, but as of last night my group was sitting in Lion's Arch for two hours in queue with none of us getting invited to the party. Luckily, on the reverse side of the coin, the decisions made on armor being linear means I can choose to stop playing now and come back as new content is added without feeling far behind the power curve. So really, I think the game is amazingly okay. Its an enjoyable waste of time that allows me to play for a short time and move on in as many phases as I like. |

It's a pretty decent game that I will keep on my laptop and play every now and then. The game has fewer bugs than most games at release that have come out in years, but I just can't get into it the way I have other games. /shrug have fun for those that actually love it.

i'm pretty much purely a pvp player and member of a large guild. i can just go and pvp with all of my friends whenever i want and they don't even know what level i am. i like that i can do the same things my level 80 friends are doing and with all 40 of them at the same time if we want. that alone makes it the best MMO i've ever played. but then aside from that is just a solid game, very few complaints. |

Originally posted by Popori Sadly, the only thing that interested me in GW2, the WvsWvsW, is the one thing I don't get to do often. It's like you said, sit in a que for hours to try and get in. I too am not interested in spvp, dungeon grinding or gear grinding again after doing that for years in WoW, when I played years ago. WvsWvsW was my only interest, and since it's not readily available anytime I log in and want to do it, I don't have much interest in logging in. Moving to a different server is not a good fix for this either btw, before someone suggests it. You shouldn't have to switch to a low pop server to get into WvsW. Arenanet knew it would be a popular part of the game and still can't figure out how to get more people in.

New and shiny lasted one week and I've never lost my interest in any MMO so fast before. Basically after doing first area you've seen everything. While it has some good things like beautiful cities it's also awfully shallow with tedious copy paste DE's and even zones. Maybe because it's f2p but I don't know.

Originally posted by Torgrim What boggles my mind is that that guy you answer to, quicklyscott, who is on my block list since a quite long time now because of the repetition of always the same GW2 bashing, is still here, and sadly I still see his bis repetitas ad nauseum hate posts when quoted. He was here during beta bashing the game, he's still here, still bashing the game. What's the agenda of such people? Feeding on misery? A holy crusade to convince the fans their game sucks? So bored in his real life that he has to pass time on forums of games he self admitedly hates? For hell's sake, I'd be miles away from this forum and anything related to this game if I hated it that much. And again, absolutely no reason given in his post except more bashing of the game and insulting of its player base. Quite a good example of why some of the people who really enjoy and play the game are sometimes pissed on this forum. |

Originally posted by The_Korrigan The forums asked me on the front page "how much do you like GW2". I'm not allowed to answer? sigh... I don't go out of my way to "bash" any game thank you very much. If I'm on your blocked list it is because you don't agree with my views, not because I go out of my way to purposely hate and troll. I'm not going to let condenscending fools like you make me feel contrite so I'll step around my opinion so you don't think I'm a troll, that is dishonest.
I have no "agenda".
I was hyped for the game, played beta, hated it, post my opinions. The fact that you've blocked me because sometimes I express my opinions in a vitrolic manner is your problem not mine. I've done nothing wrong apart from not share your views. Your post is a demonstration of your own immaturity, Mr. Holier Than Thou.
Also, please, search my post history, when was the last time I've "hated" on GW2. Please, I'd love to know what you think constitutes hate. Shit, apart from today I haven't posted in like 3 weeks ffs.
If infact you discover that you need to correct yourself and apologise for this misinterpretation of my character(which if you were honest you would), take me off your blocked list. Thanks. |

Yes. GW2 is a sandbox, and here is the proof for it. All joking aside, GW2 is as much a sandbox as SWTOR railshooter is a "space flight simulator". But hey, thanks for the giggle. |

What I'm intrested in why people feel this or that, why they feel this feature sucks compare to whatever game they like. The point is they always write the same old..................shallow............nothing new to see here................ kind of argument but fail to explain what they really mean, what's good what is bad about the game. They just use the the classic words to promote thier argument and lean back and think hey I made a great post and feel good about it. If it's not broken, you are not innovating. |

I enjoy it for the same reason I enjoyed GW1. The PvP strategy and game balance. And the mesmer. One of my favorite classes out of any game. Anyone feeling underpowered, having problems soloing vets, or any other "capability" issues are simply behind the curve. Its not a fault of the game design. It'll probably be overshadowed by Arche Age, but its one of the better games of the past 10 years. Only because the MMOs of the past 10 years have been easy to beat. |

Still liking the game alot myself but I took a week vacation so I when I came back the game felt fresh again. I did try it on my mac while away but playing with a track pad is horrible, need my controller for ths game. I notice most people who liked it from start still do and most who didn't don't, gos to show you should trust your own oppinion and gut. peace....
