I didn't care for sPvP, I wasn't interested enough to put in the effort to research my class and strive to be good at it.  WvW was fun, but as of last night my group was sitting in Lion's Arch for two hours in queue with none of us getting invited to the party.

Luckily, on the reverse side of the coin, the decisions made on armor being linear means I can choose to stop playing now and come back as new content is added without feeling far behind the power curve.

So really, I think the game is amazingly okay.  Its an enjoyable waste of time that allows me to play for a short time and move on in as many phases as I like.

First the game feels very repetetive. My highest character is 55 norn necro and that is as far as i could bare. All the Hearts and DE's are very similar and it really doesnt feel very different from a quest in for example wow. Dungeons, done 3 so far, were all very linear. Lots of story and lore i guess but nothing for an adventurer like me.

Downleveling... why god why... i know it might be fun for people who wanto do all the things on same character but for me it was a bore. It felt like i wasnt progressing at all.

Waypoints everywhere.. why? 

Vistas and Poi's were fun for the first few areas but then started feeling very dull.

Very antisocial. I know i know.. "go to a social guild.." and "if ur not social its ur own fault" . No no noooooo. Guilds are just like chatrooms not much more to them. De´s and hearts dont really make you go for social interaction wich leaves you all alone... :(

Overall too much candy and too little depth. This game is in my opinion made for those people who dont really have time for a very deep game.

You echo a lot of my own thoughts. I feel like I'm one of the few people who don't care for the downleveling. I understand why it's it's there, but there is something very satisfying about going back to lower level content and blowing through it. It gives me a sense of my character growing instead of staying the same forever. Yes, starter zones will be a bit easier, but my Ele still can't take on a vet/champion without help, and it's discouraging.

How about instead of wanting bigger numbers become a better player yourself. There are tons of videos in youtube of people taking down champion group events SOLO there are also some of them even from orr.

The progression comes in just playing better your character overall instead of increasing numbers.

While there is some truth to that, most of the caster classes are are poorly designed , broken, or both.  Why learn to play a classes that are full of bugs or have poor mechanics?  Lets take Elemental for example;  I like the class, but I have to work twice as hard to achieve the same damage (and stay alive) as I do on a guardian.   I don't want them to be easy, but I also don't want to work twice as hard for the SAME damage as my guardian puts out for half the effort.  The Mes and Necro don't fair much better either.

The bugs and poor designs aren't as glaring in big groups, but really come to the surface going solo and PVP.

I find my Ele to be extremely weak. I didn't notice it in beta or launch because there were so many people around that I couldn't tell she was doing horrible damage. By the time I started getting frustrated with her I had already progressed so far in world completion that I just couldn't stomach the thought of doing that all over again on another character. So (unfortunately) she is my "main", even though I'm not happy about it.

I realize that I'm probably not as skilled as a lot of people at gaming. I also have a very fine line between challenging and just plain frustrating. So personally for me, the Ele is frustrating. I want to be a glass cannon, but I feel like a glass bb gun. I much prefer the other classes I've tried, but like I said, I don't have the willpower to start map completion all over again.

Both your posts are funny considering the only videos i have found of people soloing champions in Orr are from elementalist.

Im a guardian and i cant do it. This might be harsh but this really is a case of L2p and that includes me in it.

i'm pretty much purely a pvp player and member of a large guild.

i can just go and pvp with all of my friends whenever i want and they don't even know what level i am.  i like that i can do the same things my level 80 friends are doing and with all 40 of them at the same time if we want.

that alone makes it the best MMO i've ever played.

but then aside from that is just a solid game, very few complaints.

Sadly, the only thing that interested me in GW2, the WvsWvsW, is the one thing I don't get to do often. It's like you said, sit in a que for hours to try and get in. I too am not interested in spvp, dungeon grinding or gear grinding again after doing that for years in WoW, when I played years ago.

WvsWvsW was my only interest, and since it's not readily available anytime I log in and want to do it, I don't have much interest in logging in. Moving to a different server is not a good fix for this either btw, before someone suggests it. You shouldn't have to switch to a low pop server to get into WvsW. Arenanet knew it would be a popular part of the game and still can't figure out how to get more people in.

He was here during beta bashing the game, he's still here, still bashing the game. What's the agenda of such people? Feeding on misery? A holy crusade to convince the fans their game sucks? So bored in his real life that he has to pass time on forums of games he self admitedly hates? For hell's sake, I'd be miles away from this forum and anything related to this game if I hated it that much.

And again, absolutely no reason given in his post except more bashing of the game and insulting of its player base.

Quite a good example of why some of the people who really enjoy and play the game are sometimes pissed on this forum.

The forums asked me on the front page "how much do you like GW2".  I'm not allowed to answer?  sigh... I don't go out of my way to "bash" any game thank you very much.  If I'm on your blocked list it is because you don't agree with my views, not because I go out of my way to purposely hate and troll.  I'm not going to let condenscending fools like you make me feel contrite so I'll step around my opinion so you don't think I'm a troll, that is dishonest.

I was hyped for the game, played beta, hated it, post my opinions.  The fact that you've blocked me because sometimes I express my opinions in a  vitrolic manner is your problem not mine.  I've done nothing wrong apart from not share your views.  Your post is a demonstration of your own immaturity, Mr. Holier Than Thou.

What I'm intrested in why people feel this or that, why they feel this feature sucks compare to whatever game they like.

The point is they always write the same old..................shallow............nothing new to see here................ kind of argument but fail to explain what they really mean, what's good what is bad about the game.

They just use the the classic words to promote thier argument and lean back and think hey I made a great post and feel good about it.

Very well put. This is exactly how I felt.

I enjoy it for the same reason I enjoyed GW1.  The PvP strategy and game balance.  And the mesmer.  One of my favorite classes out of any game.

Anyone feeling underpowered, having problems soloing vets, or any other "capability" issues are simply behind the curve.  Its not a fault of the game design.

It'll probably be overshadowed by Arche Age, but its one of the better games of the past 10 years.  Only because the MMOs of the past 10 years have been easy to beat.
