According to their Twitter the developers are aware how underpowered the necromancer is.

Yet, each patch yields nothing for the necromancer :(!

Any word on when we might see something :)?

He need's some hate not love , from what i see in spvp he is the most op class after warr

Nobody uses them except in very specialised circumstances and it's a shame for those who wanted to be MMs.

In PvE, that is all you see is Necros with pets. Don't know what you are talking about but it is still a young game and people will figure it out, eventually.

Necros are good in PvP because of their survability, but in PvE they got almost no dmg, the support is okay but the survability is pretty good.

I've tried different builds, petmaster, SS(spread conditions),support, but no single target build. The support of the necro is very weak, the best is the SS build (Condition Spreader).

Strange - I haven't seen a pet Necro in over a fortnight, and never in a dungeon.

Focus your necro on condition and wells and siphon health. They dont do much burst damage but their condition damage and vampirism is what keeps you going and standing on long fights. You can run around and regen your health enough to kill mobs. You can also be an off tank in some situations to protect your allies due to death shroud and spectral armor.

Aoe on wells too is simply amazing. Forget about pets though, they have little hp and cant be managed like the ones on ranger.
