Originally posted by UsualSuspect You were probably there ahead of the main curve. Right now I am finishing up in Blue Mountain, still going back and forth between kingsmouth and savage coast and still see tons of people running around and plenty of groups forming for Polaris each night. I had a first peak in Egypt this weekend and saw quite some people there too now. |

Originally posted by Kaspanova No he is correct in the sense that skill points were added. The reason being was that you could be gifted the best gear after leaving creation when there wasn't
He's wrong in having to go in order though. You can skip zones completely if you want. DamonVile- Games built for disposable players are now apparently built by disposable employees. |

Originally posted by halflife25 You really have some balls to admit that, so you have my sympathy and respect. The best thing to get over the embarrassment is telling everyone publically. Look at the bright side and all the "bored by GW2 threads", there is still hope for you. Cheer up. |

Originally posted by JeroKane Unfortunately I wasn't, I think I was behind it. I did the first few areas up to Blue Mountain about 3 times, gathering AP's and SP's to get different builds. I had a healer build and had completed Pandemonist before I hit Egypt, took a break for a few weeks, came back, kept playing through Egypt in silence and then on to Transylvania, where I finally gave up due to lack of other players around. This is how I looked a few quests into Transylvania - http://chronicle.thesecretworld.com/character/Krysti I was just starting to work on the Neoshaman deck. Players had just vanished. Travelling through Agartha there was a fair bit of activity, but most other places seemed dead. I even tried going back to Kingsmouth but that only had a few running around too. |

Originally posted by UsualSuspect I find that strange, you must be on a low pop realm then? I am on the main RP realm and there is still lots of activity in even Kingsmouth, Savage Coast, Blue Mountain and in Scorced Desert I just had a quic peek at this weekend. |

Is any MMO not experiencing some sort of decrease activities right now? I mean, we are in the middle of the holiday releases where so much games are coming out that I'm in my local EB Games store every week picking up 2-3 games. FIFA13, PES2013, Borderlands 2, Torchlight2, Tekken Tag2, FTL, DOA5, RE6 and Dishonoured (Soon) etc It is just relentless and it doesn't stop till Mar 2013 when Bioshock Infinite (I think) comes out. Not to mention all the sequels like AssCreed3, NBA2k13, NFS, COD: Make Acti Money, BF and heck even the WII U (which is just /facepalm but it'll sell millions) etc etc.....
Wonder why there seems to be more haters on the internet? Read this by an actual marketing guy to find out why. |

Originally posted by JeroKane I can't remember what the realm was called now, but it was the second RP realm. I was on the first originally but after restarting a character the server became overloaded and wouldn't let me back on, so I moved to the other server. It was fine while I was playing in Kingsmouth and Savage Coast, I was doing dungeons multiple times a day, but after a small break and coming back into the last few quests of Blue Mountain it was like wandering a ghost town. Egypt was the worst, I've never seen such a quiet area, but it didn't get any better after that. |

Originally posted by ZigZags Not pointing out this post in particular, but it made me think there's some real bias in the MMO industry. I don't want to make it seem like TSW is Democrats and the MMO gamers are Fox News bias, but Rift went $5 several times the first few months after it dropped to $20 in base price. Now you can find it anywhere for $5 or $10, but no one says it's because the game is "not very good". |

Originally posted by UsualSuspect I didn't completely finish the game either, but played most of it including tons of elite and some nightmare runs. What happened to me was seeing the writing on the wall. I saw that my future would consist of repetetive dungeon speed runs, which I had already been doing much more than I wanted. I also saw that the monthly updates weren't going to be big enough to warrant the fee, nor was the game social or hybrid enough in design as it should have been. I don't know how anyone could find doing dungeons over and over and over again to be gameplay they enjoy. I've never understood this about any themepark. Now we know the dev team is on life support, which means other than some content updates, what you see is what you get. Little or no hope for deeper gameplay in the future. |

Cant expect a game despite all its claims of innovation, to do well, when it is just another wow clone but modern day

Originally posted by halflife25 I'm playing WoW, I got the 75 level 25 pet achievement, and about to finish it up, I just have to beat Aki the Chosen, I've lost 3 times, she's really really hard :( "Well, there was a time when I was quick to judge others based on what little I'd heard. But... traveling with even the worst, slimiest, smelliest of tieflings and no-honor tree-worshipping elves has taught me some of them are all right." -Khelgar Ironfist |

GW2 here as well, though I expect to resub to TSW in another month or so once I've exhausted the better part of GW2's content.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. |

I have no clue we have 384 folks in the cabal I was just in. Normally only 4 or 5 of us on. I just canceled my sub due to lack of anything going on. You want to run nightmare mode well you got to have an active cabal to do that just running a pug gets you know here quick. I see a good 30 folks always around Agatha, I tried the pvp and found it boring as most folks are only capturing the wells and well not doing actually pvp (kind of an unwritten rule) i found out. Oh well I just got sick and tired of running the same 3 zones every 3 days to grind up the wheel. Only so many times you can rerun the same quest before you get sick and throw up. The rocket launcher quest was nice but I been there and done that, I have no interest in rolling an alt, there is no reason too. So all you are left with is pvp and rerunning the same crap day after day. Oh well anohter game that launched without enouch crap to keep anybody busy for long. |
