I believe in life before death... So dont forget to enjoy it while you still can. |
Do the bartle test http://www.gamerdna.com/rails/quizzes/take/bartle-test-of-gamer-psychology And find out what you are.
Personally i think the game suits anything thats high on Exploration or killing for a very very long time, THe sociallising part totally depends on your server/guild, i am very happy with mine. But i foresee that many of the archeivers will sooner then later leave the game behind only to return at the next Expansionpack.
I am an ESKA 80% 53% 53% 13% and thats why i adore this game, it fits my playing style really really well. Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) |

That trivia makes me look more balanced that I probably am. I'm also entirely focused in GW2 in the activity I"m not supposed to be, ie PvP. 67% achiever, 60% explorer, 60% social, 13% killer.
What does that mean? |

K (60%) E (53%) A (47%) S (40%) I guess some people like to PvP too. :) |

I guess I am not an achiever:/ |

E-87% A-60% K-33% S-20%
Go figure!
Also: Some of the questions needed a "neither" answer for me. I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil |

E-87% S-47% K-33% A-33% according to that strange test that goes way over 100% But yeah, I love GW2 and the answer is "in the E" |

The game can appeal to any type equally - because the test can not accurately account for actual in game personal experience which is not strongly tied to a simple Bartle test. our likes and dislikes are far beyond the scope of the test. |

Explorer 80%, socializer 73% Achiver 23% killer 20%... But yes, the achivers are the ones hardest hit by GW2, while there are some epic hard to get items like legendary weapons there arent that many compared to many other MMOs. |

What a shitty little test. Apparently I'm K (87%) A (53%) S (33%) E (27%) which is completely wrong. In reality I'm a balanced ESKA. You can be ESKA and a PvPer you know. (oh, and I didn't like GW2)

Your gamerDNA is:EXPLORERThe Explorer motto:"No stone unturned!" Description: It's not so much the wandering around and poking about, but that euphoric eureka moment the Explorer strives for. The joys of discovery do not necessarily involve geography, real or virtual. They may derive from the mental road less traveled, the uncovering of esoteric or hidden knowledge and it's creative application. Explorers make great theory crafters. The most infinitesimal bit of newness can deliver the most delicious zing to an Explorer. Secondary influences
I was never an achiever. I may be a 40/100 killer, but generally I don't play MMORPGs for PvP. If I wanted competition I'd play Street Fighter, or DotA. |

MMORPGs are no longer about the mass multi-user anymore *sadly* |

E 73%, S 53%, K 40%, A 33% Does this mean GW2 is the perfect match for my MMO needs..? :p Demigoth's RPG adventures ~ My blog ASUS M4N72-E |

E- 73, A- 60, K- 47, S- 20 I guess I'm anti-social. Probably shouldn't be playing mmo's then... |

Exploration is the primary reason why I'm playing games, MMORPG in particular, however, GW2 totally fails in this matter. The maps were too small, most of the spots were already marked on map, I found this game to be first and foremost designed for casual players mostly focused on killing and achieving and very little on exploring and socializing.

The bartle test isn't a valid test, i.e. it does not (necessarily) measure what it purports to be measuring.
The FIRST question on it is basically "When a new MMO opens up, do you rush to a new area eager to explore it and learn the story, or do you rush to a new area eager to acquire powerful gear?" The test thinks it is testing you to see if you are an explorer or an achiever, but it just as well is testing whether you consider the story in MMOs to be worth learning in the first place.
And yes, it is partly true that you might have a tendency to achievement over exploring just because you don't think the story is worth your attention. But it's also true that the story might just be plain crappy, as it is in many MMOs as evaluated by many players, so people answer "gear" over "explore" because they know/believe there is nothing worth exploring to begin with... not because they actually prefer to acquire gear over exploring worthwhile places/stories. |

I think bartle scores do very poorly when used as a factor to figure out if a specific person will like a certain game - it doesn't work. |
